The rear-drive Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid is rated at a very low 21/22 mpg on the highway. A vehicle that is claimed by GM to be one of their most fuel efficient and environmentally friendly vehicles produced today. Don’t be disillusioned by all the hype GM is creating, this hybrid only gets a very poor 22 mpg and it will cost you dearly in both fuel cost and purchase price - sells for a whopping $50,000.

Would you buy a gas electric hybrid that delivered 200+ mpg (miles per gallon)? Sure you would, if the price was right. Is 200 mpg even possible? The answer was yes in 1933 and the answer is yes in 2010. In 1933 Charles Nelson Pogue made headlines when he drove a 1932 Ford V8, 200 miles on a gallon of gas during a demonstration conducted by The Ford Motor Companies in Winnipeg, Manitoba using his super-carb system. In fact, many people attested to these mileage claims as The Pogue Carb went into production and was sold openly. However, one of the crucial factors of these systems is the use of “white” gasoline, which contained no additives. It was soon after this much publicized test that oil companies started adding lead to the fuel. Lead is an anti-catalyst that rendered Pogue’s carburetor as inefficient as a regular carb.

Why did the oil companies act quickly to contaminate pure gasoline with lead and later other additives? Because Charles Nelson Pogue was awarded a US patent based on the design and the verified demonstration of its function in 1933, sponsored by the Ford Motor Companies. US Patent # 2,026,798 was awarded to Charles Nelson Pogue on January 9, 1936. The patent states: “This invention relates to carburetors suitable for use with internal combustion engines and in an improvement on the carburetors shown in my Patents # 1,938,497 and # 1,997, 497. ” Pogue’s patent describes in great detail the workings of his high mileage vapor carburetor. This carburetor was developed and patented to improve the efficiency of internal combustion engines by atomizing and vaporizing liquid fuel before it is injected into the combustion chambers. By atomizing and vaporing liquid fuel higher fuel efficiency is achieved and far less and almost near zero emissions is produced.

It is an often a misconception that most vehicles on the road today already burn gasoline vapors in their internal combustion engines. The fact of the matter is, gasoline powered vehicles tody burn finely divided particles or droplets that are sprayed from the carburetor or fuel injectors, into the engine cylinders.

This is a very wasteful process of converting gasoline or diesel to energy. Maybe 20-30 % efficiency at most. It has been known and demonstrated for 60 or more years that burning gasoline vapors will give easily 5 times the mpg and near zero emissions. Actually if the vapors are heated to the necessary temperature of 450 degrees F, the gasoline vapors are actually fractionalized by catalytic cracking and converted to smaller light molecular hydrocarbons, methane and methanol.

The problem with todays technology

Gas prices are going up, more cars are on the road, and more cities are experiencing extreme vehicle exhaust pollution. With todays technology this was to be expected. Even with the manufacturing of gas electric hybrids the problem still and will continue to exist. Why? Because the gas part of the gas electric hybrids is what gives the vehicles any kind of usefulness as the batteries are quickly depleted in electrical charge and can go no farther than 50 kilometers. The gasoline part is still very fuel inefficient. Even though they are sold as green vehicles they still emit high levels of CO2 emissions. The reason why they still are fuel inefficient and major polluters is because the internal combustion engines of the hybrids are still injecting the same old finely divided particles or droplets of gasoline and not gas vapor. The development of Electric Vehicles, Hybrid Electric Vehicles and Fuel Cell vehicles are not proceeding at a fast enough pace to make a dent cleaning up the air in most cities. The new Hybrid Electric Vehicles are a sham as they cannot travel any practical distances on electric power. Gasoline is still needed in large quantities and they still create a lot of pollution because they still haven’t changed how the gasoline is consumed. The introduction of fuel injectors didn’t reduce the amount of fuel entering the combustion chamber nor did they atomize and vaporize the fuel so that it would burn completely. Instead the fuel injectors injects more fuel into the combustion chamber by injecting the fuel under high pressure. The manufacturer designed it that way and that is the only reason why all “return-type” fuel injection systems have a return fuel line - to return the excess of fuel being injected into the engine back to the fuel tank. Take two of the newest hybrid trucks that are sold by the government owned GM today. Both the 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid and 2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid having fuel economy ratings of only 20 mpg city and highway. Both are hybrids so you would assume that they would be more fuel efficient. The only green on these hybrids is the name hybrid that is glued to these gas guzzling and CO2 emitting trucks. Neither have any increase in fuel efficiency, in fact they have worse fuel efficiency than 1987 vehicles that had fuel economy ratings of 22.1 miles per gallon.

The solution

Ok now what? How do we increase the fuel efficiency of the vehicles on our roads and achieve near zero emission? The simplest solution is to manufacture vapor fuel systems, like Charles Nelson Pogue did. His patent is available for all to review, even the automobile manufacturers. I am sure with all of the high priced engineers on the payroll of GM, Ford and Chrysler one of them can use Pogue’s patented idea and incorporate a vapor fuel system into the design of all of their vehicles. I am sure one of their engineer geniuses can even come up with an after market fuel vaporizing conversion system that any auto mechanic could install on the millions of vehicles already on the road. If Charles Pogue could design, patent and equipped a Ford V8 coupe that reportedly got over 200 MPG so can the more advanced engineers employed by GM, Ford and Chrysler. Will the Big 3 actually do this and give us consumers a vehicles with much higher fuel efficiency and near zero emissions? Highly unlikely. If they won’t design and produce more fuel efficient and clean vehicles then why not take matters into our own hands and finance and build a cleaner and more fuel efficient vehicle - or at least a fuel vaporizing conversion system that can be attached to all of their vehicles. Why not design and build a true green hybrid vehicle. A 200+ mpg gas electric hybrid. Impossible? I’ve already shown you that it isn’t impossible and Charles Nelson Pogue is the proof. Have you heard about another Canadian inventor who has come up with a design for a gas electric system that can be easily built and installed in both cars and trucks. The design by FuelReducer is a hybrid conversion system that uses a brushless AC electric motor, an induction coil, a potentiometer, a single 12 volt automotive battery and a very small gasoline or diesel powered engine. Will it actually work? We may never know because development and testing takes a large amount of money. The Big 3 have a lot of money but they won’t invest any of it towards building a more fuel efficient and near zero emission vehicle. The little guys, like FuelReducer, have the design and know how to build them but no money to manufacture a high mileage and near zero emission fuel system, let alone a whole vehicle. That is the main reason the Big 3 are not the least bit threatened by any new technology emerging that will improve the inefficiency of their polluting vehicles. Pogue drastically improved the fuel efficiency of a 1930s Ford V8, over 70 years ago yet none of the Ford vehicles on the road today have fuel efficiencies higher than 45 mpg. The 2011 Ford Fusion has a fuel efficiency of only 41 city/34 hwy (EPA estimated ). You would think Ford or one of the other Big 3 would have hired Pogue to improve on his design and at least one of the Big 3 would have build their vehicles with Pogue’s carburetor. Since your vehicle doesn’t get 200 mpg or even 100 mpg you know they didn’t. Instead Ford bought Pogue’s patent and shelved it. When the money he got from Ford (to buy the patent) ran out Pogue went to work making oil filters for the motor industry.

A brilliant idea was wasted and today we are still driving around in fuel inefficient and polluting cars and trucks. Green hybrids doesn’t mean environmentally friendly. Green refers to the huge amounts of green paperbacks you are going to have to fork over to GM, Ford and Chrysler to reduce CO2 emissions and save the planet. In case you haven’t noticed, the price tag for all of their Hybrids are nearly double the price of their strictly gasoline vehicle. That is on purpose. Why? People will only buy what they can afford. With the high cost of living and our low paying jobs, we will always choose the lower price. The poor and middle class can’t afford the price tag of a hybrid and the Big 3 auto makers know that. The Big 3 have purposely overpriced their hybrids so that you and I are forced to buy their cheaper polluting gas guzzlers.

The main components of automobile exhaust are carbon dioxide (CO2) and water vapor (H2O). Because of the rising concern over global warming due to greenhouse gases many countries are now adopting emission standards as a means to reduce CO2 emissions. Emission standards are requirements that set specific limits to the amount of pollutants that can be released into the environment. Many emissions standards focus on regulating pollutants released by automobiles (motor cars) and other powered vehicles but they can also regulate emissions from industry, power plants, small equipment such as lawn mowers and diesel generators.

In the United States, emissions standards are managed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The state of California has special dispensation to promulgate more stringent vehicle emissions standards, and other states may choose to follow either the national or California standards.

California’s emissions standards are set by the California Air Resources Board, known locally by its acronym “CARB”. Given that California’s automotive market is one of the largest in the world, CARB wields enormous influence over the emissions requirements that major automakers must meet if they wish to sell into that market. In addition, several other U.S. states also choose to follow the CARB standards, so their rulemaking has broader implications within the U.S.

The European Union has its own set of emissions standards that all new vehicles must meet.

Canada also has its own set of emission standards. Ontario’s Drive Clean is an automobile emissions control program in Ontario, Canada. Originally, vehicles under 4,500 kg (cars, SUV, light trucks) and over three years old (and up to the 19th year) required an emission test every two years before the vehicle’s owner or lessor can renew its license plate. Starting with 2006, the test exemption was increased to five years, while the rolling exemption at 20 years ended, and all 1987 and older vehicles became exempt.

FuelReducer is developing new technology to help reduce CO2 emissions too. Newly developed FuelReducer Xe is now being tested. It was developed as a solution to help reduce CO2 emissions. A number of emission tests have recently been carried out at various emission testing sites throughout the GTA (Greater Toronto Area). A number of different vehicles were tested twice, once without a FuelReducer Xe and then again after a FuelReducer Xe was installed. The Emission testing machines showed a decrease in CO2 emissions. Further testing will be done in the coming weeks and months. Are only older cars the worse polluters? Not so. Some of the worse polluting vehicles on the road today are: the DODGE SRT-10 (Churning out 488 grams of carbon dioxide every kilometre - 488g/km), BMW M3 (309g/km), RENAULT Clio Renault Sport 200 (195g/km), VOLKSWAGEN Golf R32 4MOTION (255g/km) , FORD Ka, Post 2006 1.6 Duratec Sportka (182g/km), MERCEDES R-Class R63 AMG (387g/km), MERCEDES Viano 3.5 (284g/km), CADILLAC CTS-V (350g/km), CADILLAC Escalade 6.2 V8 (383g/km), and the BENTLEY Brooklands Coupé (465g/km) ~ according to the Environmental Transport Association following a study of more than 1,300 models of cars currently on sale in Britain.

The US federal government aims to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 28 percent by 2020, the White House announced in January 2010. The FuelReducer Xe can help reach that goal this year, 10 years ahead of schedule.

Every year millions of people from around the World are hit hard in the pocket book with high heating costs. As a direct result of high heating bills millions of people, mostly in the low to middle income bracket, are forced to make a financially detrimental decision every winter. For decades there has only been 2 real choices for heating your home. Either you heat with oil or electricity. Oil prices have steadily risen since 2001 and so has electricity costs. With oil there is little one can do but with electricity there is a lot that can be done.

Most home owners who heat their home using some sort of baseboard heater are faced with high electrical bills. That is guaranteed because baseboard heaters are one of the most power consuming devices in your home. A baseboard heater for an average size living room normally are rated at a minimal of 1000 watts of electrical power consumption. Some are as much as 2000 watts. Depending on how many rooms your home has your home heating electrical bill can be very high.

The solution to reducing high electrical heating costs is to rethink how we use electricity to heat our homes. To start we need to drastically reduce the power consumption of baseboard heaters. In order to do this we need to either eliminate or replace the power hungry heating element. The heating element of all baseboard heaters uses a lot of electricity just to get it hot enough to generate any heat. Then it needs a lot of electricity to keep the element hot enough to maintain a comfortable temperature.

This new electrical heating apparatus is being developed to help reduce our dependency on oil by providing an electrical home heating device that uses a lot less electricity. The unit is being designed to either sit on a floor, table or counter or hung on a wall near an electrical outlet, like a picture. It could also be placed in front of a drafty window so that the unit can warm the cold draft. No need to call an expensive electrical technician as maintenance can be done by the home owner. This innovative electric home heating apparatus can reduce the electrical power consumption and cost by as much as 50%. The unit also has another very important feature that will be revealed after development is complete and the units are ready for marketing.

Testing has begun

Testing of the first prototype began in October 2010. The prototype was made entirely from store bought items. To make this prototype parts were stripped from various electrical appliances, tools and devices in the home of the owner of FuelReducer. The first test prototype used just 300 watts of electrical power. The amount of heat produced from just 300 watts of power was so great that the front of the unit began to overheat so the unit is going to be modified and retested. The fact that the first prototype consumed just 300 watts of power and produced a considerable amount of heat means that the FuelReducer heater consumed less than 1/3 the electrical power of the mass produced baseboard heaters (1000 watts is the average electrical consumption of a baseboard heater for a mid size to large size room). The tested prototype unit got so hot that the internal wire mesh safety grill (placed to prevent household insects or small common household debris from coming into contact with the heat source) turned red hot. After allowing it to cool down, the safety mesh was removed and the unit retested. Using just 300 watts of electricity the unit got hotter than a baseboard heater of a comparable size. The face plate of the FuelReducer 300 watt heater got too hot to touch.

In one test a digital thermometer was placed a few inches above the FuelReducer heater prototype and the temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius (71.6°). The FuelReducer heater prototype was then plugged into an electrical outlet and the temperature shot up 10 degrees to 32 degrees Celsius (89.6 ºF) in less than a minute.

In the winter months if the power goes out most people use gas or diesel powered generators for emergency power. Most generators can’t power existing electrical baseboard heaters. The power consumption is just to great. A 1000 watt baseboard heater or even a 1000 watt portable heater would put a heavy power demand on any power generator. The FuelReducer heater doesn’t. The power demand of the FuelReducer heater would be comparable to 3 - 100 watt incandescent bulbs. It would consume only as much power as a desktop computer system.

Every week around 10,000 people die of cancer. Government figures show the death rate for cancer deaths has not changed in the last 10 years. Chemo and radiation only save around 10% of the people treated. So this shows our doctors don’t have much to work with. Even with traditional treatments like Chemo and radiation more people die than are cured. That means as many as 90% of the people who have been diagnosed with having cancer will die. That statistic alone should be enough to warrant an immediate change in how cancer is treated. Further development of harnessing the cosmic rays to power motors was stopped by J. P. Morgan - an American financier, banker and art collector who dominated corporate finance and industrial consolidation during his time. In 1892 Morgan arranged the merger of Edison General Electric and Thomson-Houston Electric Company to form General Electric. After financing the creation of the Federal Steel Company he merged the Carnegie Steel Company and several other steel and iron businesses to form the United States Steel Corporation in 1901.

J.P. Morgan kills Tesla’s free-energy development

In 1900, Morgan financed inventor Nikola Tesla and his Wardenclyffe Tower with $150,000 for experiments in radio. However, in 1903, when the tower structure was near completion, J. P. Morgan threw a wrench in the project’s completion when Morgan wanted to know “Where can I put the meter?” Tesla had no answer. Tesla’s vision of free power did not agree with Morgan’s corporate view; nor would it pay for the maintenance of the transmission system. Construction costs eventually exceeded the money provided by Morgan, and additional financiers were reluctant to come forth. By July 1904, Morgan (and the other investors) finally decided they would not provide any additional financing. Morgan also advised other investors to avoid the project.

J. P. Morgan enslaves the U.S. people

The Panic of 1907 (a carbon copy of today’s financial crisis - coincidence??) was a financial crisis that almost crippled the American economy. Major New York banks were on the verge of bankruptcy and there was no mechanism to rescue them until Morgan stepped in personally and took charge.

Treasury Secretary George B. Cortelyou earmarked $35 million of federal money to quell the storm but had no easy way to use it. Morgan now took personal charge, meeting with the nation’s leading financiers in his New York mansion; he forced them to devise a plan to meet the crisis. James Stillman, president of the National City Bank, also played a central role. Morgan organized a team of bank and trust executives which redirected money between banks, secured further international lines of credit, and bought plummeting stocks of healthy corporations. A delicate political issue arose regarding the brokerage firm of Moore and Schley, which was deeply involved in a speculative pool in the stock of the Tennessee Coal, Iron and Railroad Company. Moore and Schley had pledged over six millions of the Tennessee Coal and Iron (TCI) stock for loans among the Wall Street banks. The banks had called the loans, and the firm could not pay. If Moore and Schley should fail, a hundred more failures would follow and then all Wall Street might go to pieces. Morgan decided they had to save Moore and Schley. TCI was one of the chief competitors of U.S. Steel and it owned valuable iron and coal deposits. Morgan controlled U.S. Steel and he decided it had to buy the TCI stock from Moore and Schley. Judge Gary, head of US Steel, agreed, but would there be antitrust implications that could cause grave trouble for US Steel, which was already dominant in the steel industry? Morgan sent Gary to see President Theodore Roosevelt, who promised legal immunity for the deal. U.S. Steel thereupon paid $30 million for the TCI stock and Moore and Schley was saved. The announcement had an immediate effect; by November 7, 1907, the panic was over. Vowing to never let it happen again, and realizing that in a future crisis there was not likely to be another Morgan, banking and political leaders, led by Senator Nelson Aldrich devised a plan that became the Federal Reserve System in 1913. The crisis underscored the need for a powerful mechanism, and Morgan supported the move to create the Federal Reserve System.

Device to Harness Cosmic Energy by Tesla:

This new power for the driving of the world’s machinery will be derived from the energy which operates the universe, the cosmic energy, whose central source for the earth is the sun and which is everywhere present in unlimited quantities.

Tesla’s first radiant energy receiver stored static electricity obtained from the air and converted it to a usable form. Tesla’s invention is a simple version of T.H. Moray’s device. Moray’s device used a unique rectifier (RE-valve) to efficiently capture the static electricity from the surrounding air. Moray’s oscillator tubes (magnetron transducers) utilized this high-voltage energy to generate an internal secondary “cold” fusion reaction.

Stick an antenna up in the air, the higher the better, and wire it to one side of a capacitor, the other going to a good earth ground, and the potential difference will then charge the capacitor. Connect across the capacitor some sort of switching device so that it can be discharged at rhythmic intervals, and you have an oscillating electric output. T.H. Moray simply expanded on Tesla’s idea to use high-voltage to create ionic oscillation.

Tesla’s free-energy concept was patented in 1901 as an “Apparatus for the Utilization of Radiant Energy.” The patent refers to “the sun, as well as other sources of radiant energy, like cosmic rays,” that the device works at night is explained in terms of the night-time availability of cosmic rays. Tesla also refers to the ground as “a vast reservoir of negative electricity.”

Tesla was fascinated by radiant energy and its free-energy possibilities. He called the Crooke’s radiometer, a device which has vanes that spin in a vacuum when exposed to radiant energy “a beautiful invention.” He believed that it would become possible to harness energy directly by “connecting to the very wheel-work of nature.” On his 76th birthday at his yearly ritual press conference, Tesla announced a “cosmic-ray motor” when asked if it was more powerful than the Crooke’s radiometer, he answered, “thousands of times more powerful.”

In 1901 Nikola Tesla was one the first to identify “radiant energy.” Tesla says that the source of this energy is our Sun. He concluded that the Sun emits small particles, each carrying so small of a charge, that they move with great velocity, exceeding that of light. Tesla further states that these particles are the neutron particles. Tesla believed that these neutron particles were responsible for all radioactive reactions. Radiant matter is in tune with these neutron particles. Radiant matter is simply a re-transmitter of energy from one state to another.

How Tesla’s radiant energy receiver worked

From the electric Potential that exists between the elevated plate (plus) and the ground (minus), energy builds up in the capacitor, and, after “a suitable time interval,” the accumulated energy will “manifest itself in a powerful discharge” that can do work. The capacitor, says Tesla, should be “of considerable electrostatic capacity, ” and its dielectric made of “the best quality mica, for it has to withstand potentials that could rupture a weaker dielectric.”

Tesla gives various options for the switching device. One is a rotary switch that resembles a Tesla circuit controller, another is an electrostatic device consisting of two very light, membranous conductors suspended in a vacuum. These sense the energy build-up in the capacitor, one charging positive, the other negative, and, at a certain charge level, are attracted, touch, and thus fire the capacitor. Tesla also mentions another switching device consisting of a minute air gap or weak dielectric film that breaks down suddenly when a certain potential is reached.

Tesla received two patents for this radiant energy device; U.S. Patent No. 685,957 - Apparatus for the Utilization of Radiant Energy and U.S. Patent No. 685,958 - Method of Utilizing Radiant Energy. Both these patents were filed on March 21, 1901 and granted on November 5, 1901. In these patents he explains:

“The sun, as well as other sources of radiant energy throw off minute particles of matter positively electrified, which, impinging upon the upper plate, communicate continuously an electrical charge to the same. The opposite terminal of the condenser being connected to ground, which may be considered as a vast reservoir of negative electricity, a feeble current flows continuously into the condenser and inasmuch as the particles are …charged to a very high potential, this charging of the condenser may continue, as I have actually observed, almost indefinitely, even to the point of rupturing the dielectric.”

The Earth’s Electrostatic Charge

Tesla’s intent was to condense the energy trapped between the earth and its upper atmosphere and to transform it into an electric current. He pictured the sun as an immense ball of electricity, positively charged with a potential of some 200 billion volts. The earth, on the other hand, is charged with negative electricity. The tremendous electrical force between these two bodies constituted, at least in part, what he called cosmic energy. It varied from night to day and from season to season but it is always present.

The positive particles are stopped at the ionosphere and between it and the negative charges in the ground, a distance of 60 miles, there is a large difference of voltage - something on the order of 360,000 volts. With the gases of the atmosphere acting as an insulator between these two opposite stores of electrical charges, the region between the ground and the edge of space traps a great deal of energy. Despite the large size of the planet, it is electrically like a capacitor which keeps positive and negative charges apart by using the air as a non-conducting material as an insulator.

The earth has a charge of 96,500 coulombs. With a potential of 360,000 volts, the earth constitutes a capacitor of .25 farads (farads = coulombs/volts). If the formula for calculating the energy stored in a capacitor (E =1/2CV2) is applied to the earth, it turns out that the ambient medium contains 1.6 x 1011 joules or 4.5 megawatt-hours of electrical energy. In order to utilize this high-voltage energy you must do two things — make an energy sink and then devise a way of making the “sink” oscillate.

“Zero-Point Energy?”

Such a “sink” has to be at a lower energy state than the surrounding medium and, for the energy to continually flow into it, the energy must be continually pumped out of it. Additionally, this ”
sink” must maintain a lower energy state while meeting the power requirements of the load attached to it. Electrical energy, watt-seconds, is a product of volts x amps x seconds. Because the period of oscillation does not change, either voltage or current has to be the variable in this system’s energy equation. Bifilar wound coils are used in the system because a bifilar wound coil maximizes the voltage difference between its turns, the current is then minimized.

A coil in our system, then, will be set into oscillation at its resonant frequency by an external power source. During the “zero-point” portion of its cycle the coil will appear as one plate of a capacitor. As the voltage across the coil increases, the amount of charge it can siphon will increase. The energy that is taken into the coil through the small energy window (zero-point), call it what you will, appears to be the key to the success of this system. It is at this zero-point where energy is condensed into positive and negative components of current. When energy escapes from the “sink” the magnetic field collapses and a strong magnetic quake is created in it’s wake. A properly tuned system can capture and convert radiant energy in such a prescribed arrangement.

Tesla ‘Harnesses’ Cosmic Energy

Inventor announces discovery to displace fuel in driving machinery. Calls Sun main source. A principle by which power for driving machinery of the world may be developed from the cosmic energy which operates the universe, has been discovered by Nikola Tesla, noted physicist and inventor of scientific devices, he announced today. This principle, which taps a source of power described as “everywhere present in unlimited quantities” and which may be transmitted by wire or wireless from central plants to any part of the globe, will eliminate the need of coal, oil, gas or any other of the common fuels, he said. Dr. Tesla in a statement today at his hotel indicated the time was not far distant when the principle would be ready for practical commercial development. Asked whether the sudden introduction of his principle would upset the present economic system, Dr. Tesla replied, “It is badly upset already.” He added that now as never before was the time ripe for the development of new resources. While in its present form, the theory calls for the development of energy in central plants requiring vast machinery. Dr. Tesla said he might be able to work out a plan for its use by individuals. The central source of cosmic energy for the earth is the Sun, Dr. Tesla said, but “night will not interrupt the flow of new power supply.

Clearly Tesla is not talking about an atomic reactor. He is directly converting ionized particles generated by radiant matter. It is not nuclear energy as we know it today. Radiant Energy is directly converted to electrical power! Tesla believed that the Sun generates highly charged particles and that radiant matter is a re-transmitter of energy, it is this transfer of energy that could be used for practical purposes.

The Electric Auto that almost triumphed: Power Source of ‘31 car still a mystery

It is a mystery car once demonstrated by Nikola Tesla, developer of alternating current, that might have made electrics triumphant.

Supported by the Pierce-Arrow Co. and Westinghouse in 1931, he took the gasoline engine from a new Pierce-Arrow and replaced it with an 80-horsepower alternating-current electric motor with no external power source. From the electric motor trailed two very thick cables, which connected with the dashboard. In addition, there was an ordinary 12-volt storage battery. (”There was a 12-volt Willard battery installed in the car, but it was for the lights only and much too small to run the car. In any case.”) The motor was rated at 80 horsepower. Maximum rotor speed was stated to be 30 turns per second (1800 rpm). A 6-foot vertical antenna rod was fitted into the rear section of the car.

At the appointed time, Nikola Tesla arrived from New York City and inspected the Pierce-Arrow automobile. He then went to a local radio store and purchased a handful of tubes (12 radio vacuum tubes), wires and assorted resistors. A box measuring 24 inches long, 12 inches wide and 6 inches high was assembled housing the circuit. The “power receiver” was then placed into the dashboard of the car and its wires connected to the antenna and to the air-cooled, brushless motor. Two rods 1/4” in diameter stuck out of the box about 3” in length. Tesla began making adjustments on the “power receiver”

Mr. Tesla got into the driver’s seat, pushed the two rods in and stated, “We now have power”. He put the car into gear and it moved forward! This vehicle, powered by an A.C. motor, was driven to speeds of 90 m.p.h. and performed better than any internal combustion engine of its day! One week was spent testing the vehicle. Several newspapers in Buffalo reported this test. When asked where the power came from, Tesla replied, “From the ethers all around us”. (Ethers is Electromagnetic radiation. Radio waves is electromagnetic radiation which has the lowest frequency, the longest wavelength, and is produced by charged particles moving back and forth) Several people suggested that Tesla was mad and somehow in league with sinister forces of the universe. He became incensed, removed his mysterious box from the vehicle and returned to his laboratory in New York City. His secret died with him! Or did it?

How did ethers power the vehicle? The owner of FuelReducer has been trying to answer that question since 2005, when he first read about it in an old magazine he found in a neighbors barn. According to data from the 5 years of investigation there is one very plausible explanation as to how ethers powered the car. Tesla’s mystery box was a valve amplifier or tube amplifier. It is is a type of electronic amplifier that makes use of vacuum tubes to increase the power and/or amplitude of a signal. The simplest valve amplifier was invented by John Ambrose Fleming while working for the Marconi Company in London in 1904 and named the diode, as it had two electrodes. The diode conducted electricity in one direction only and was used as a radio detector and a rectifier. In 1906 Lee De Forest added a third electrode and invented the first electronic amplifying device, the triode, which he named the Audion. This additional control grid modulates the current that flows between cathode and anode.

In Tesla’s case, a valve amplifier was used to increase the power or amplitude of the ordinary radio waves that were received by the 6-foot vertical antenna rod that was fitted into the rear section of the car. An antenna is a transducer that transmits or receives electromagnetic waves. In other words, Tesla used the antenna mounted on the rear of the car to convert the freely available electromagnetic radiation called radio waves into electrical current.

Tesla bought vacuum tube diodes which is a vacuum tube with two electrodes; a plate and a cathode. A diode is a two-terminal electronic component that conducts electric current in only one direction while blocking current in the opposite direction (the reverse direction). Thus, the diode can be thought of as an electronic version of a check valve. This unidirectional behavior is called rectification, and is used to convert alternating current (AC or the power that comes from your home’s electrical outlets) to direct current (DC or the power from a battery). AC power circuit is a sine wave. Audio and radio signals carried on electrical wires (such as an antenna) are also examples of alternating current.

Tesla used the radio vacuum tubes wires and assorted resistors to build a valve amplifier or tube amplifier 24 inches long, 12 inches wide and 6 inches high, with a pair of 3-inch rods 1/4” in diameter sticking out. The pair of rods that Tesla pushed in were used to close (complete) the circuit - like an on off switch. The rod ends were most likely connected directly to the car antenna and by pushing them into the tube amplifier the radio waves that were received from the air by the antenna were plugged into the amplifier - like you would do when you plugged an electric guitar into an amplifier. Like the electric guitar amplifier the signal generated by striking a cord (string) of a guitar would travel from the guitar through the wire connecting the guitar to the amplifier and into the amplifier where the barely audible tone would then be amplified. An electric guitar without an amplifier is essential an air guitar until it is plugged into an amplifier. The amplifier amplifies the sound wave. That is how Tesla was able to amplify and convert the invisible electromagnetic radiation called radio waves into electricity to power the AC motor in the 1931 Pierce-Arrow. The word electricity comes from the fact that current is nothing more than electrons moving along a conductor, like an antenna, that have been harnessed for energy. Tesla used an antenna (an electrical conductor) and an amplifier to harness energy.

Why hasn’t anyone revealed this 80 year old secret? Tesla built a free energy device. A device that would threaten the oil industry, the nuclear energy industry and the hydro electric power monopoly. A device that would bankrupt every oil refinery in the World. A device that would literally put an end to Global warming. Disease and illnesses caused by pollution from oil and gas products would simply disappear. If Tesla’s invention was put into mass production the World would never have been involved in wars in the Middle East and Afghanistan, the Exxon Mobil and BP oil spills would never have occurred, and millions of people would still be alive and very healthy today.

Most hybrid vehicles today can operate at gas mileages of up to 50 miles per gallon on the highway and 30-40 miles per gallon in the city. To me that isn’t all that great considering most strictly gasoline powered cars have done that already. With all the hype these days about fuel economy why are we producing hybrid cars and trucks with the same fuel economy as gasoline fueled cars and trucks? The car manufacturers were forced to make modifications to their manufacturing to give better fuel economy yet today they still average the same as a vehicle manufactured in the 1980s and 1990s. In fact, according to a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency report, instead of achieving higher gas mileage, the numbers have been declining slowly for years! According to the report, the gas mileage of “light duty” vehicles (cars, SUVs, and pickup trucks) is actually going down! The EPA report shows that average gas mileage for these vehicles peaked at 22.1 miles per gallon in 1987. In 2005 it’s down to 21.0 miles per gallon. This is in spite of the recent introduction of high gas mileage vehicles like hybrids.

I am about to let you in on a little secret. There are vehicles already on the market that’s rated for 46 MPG on the highway, and they’re not hybrids, they’re the secret nobody talks about: Diesels!

During the 1970s energy crisis the Volkswagen Rabbit Diesel, even though it was a little noisy and a little smoky, was incredibly reliable and a light-footed driver could easily exceed 50 MPG and sometimes even 60 MPG in them! 40 years later and gasoline mileage has slowly been slipping for several years, according to EPA, but diesels have been getting better and better. No more rattling engine. No more clouds of black smoke. No more weak performance. Diesel fuel has gotten cleaner, diesel reliability has gotten even better, diesel mileage often exceeds hybrids, and performance is outstanding. If you haven’t noticed already diesel prices are lower than gasoline prices too. Another known fact is that diesel engines last a lot longer than gasoline engines.

Why aren’t more people driving diesel cars that get 30-40% better mileage than gas cars? Why are the sales of new diesel cars banned in some U.S. states?

Two words: Kyoto Treaty. The Kyoto Treaty mandates the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and it has been signed by over 140 countries. The only major country not to sign is the United States. By refusing to sign the Kyoto Protocols, the United States is not bound by the treaty. That means that the EPA pollution standards for cars don’t include greenhouse emissions. Diesels have better emissions than gas engines in some areas the EPA measures and worse emissions in other areas. Overall, by U.S. measurement standards, the higher Nitrogen Oxide and particulate emissions of diesels mean that they’re classified as higher pollution cars than gasoline-powered cars. For that reason, some states have banned the sale of new diesels.

But take the same diesel vehicles to Europe where the Kyoto Protocols apply and they’re considered much more environmentally friendly than gasoline-powered cars and trucks! Diesels have much lower greenhouse gas emissions than gas engines. That probably explains why 40-50% of the passenger vehicles in Europe are diesel powered while less than 1% of U.S. passenger vehicles are diesels and very few new diesel models are available in the U.S. — mostly Volkswagens and Mercedes for cars, with a few manufacturers offering trucks.

But the technology that meet the terms of the Kyoto Treaty have already been developed and are now available in the U.S. Diesel engine design continues to advance and new designs have already drastically lowered NOx and particulate emissions. Diesel fuel standards have already evolved and the diesel fuels are now being made with lower sulfur to burn cleaner. Perhaps the most enduring quality of driving a diesel powered vehicle is that they all can run on both diesel and the renewable biodiesel. Biodiesel fuel is made from vegetable oil (Rudolf Diesel’s original engine ran on peanut oil) and is already available in most states and is being used in current diesel vehicles with dramatically lower emissions than existing petroleum diesel fuel. Biodiesel is a renewable fuel that can be made from many different vegetable crops.

Which would you rather have; a 2010 Chevy Equinox which they claim gets better fuel efficiency than the Honda CR-V & the Toyota Rav-4 at 32 MPG on the highway, or a 2010 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid or 2010 GMC Yukon Hybrid having fuel economy ratings of 20 mpg city and highway (both hybrids have worse fuel efficiency than 1987 vehicles that had fuel economy ratings of 22.1 miles per gallon) for four-wheel-drive models or a diesel car or truck that will give almost double the mileage at 50 and even 60 mpg? Is getting a hybrid worth it? Tahoe Hybrid pricing starts at $50,490 for two-wheel drive and $53,295 for 4WD.

Benefits of Diesel Fuel

Engines utilizing diesel fuel have higher torque and higher towing capacity, which make it a desirable choice for towing trailers, boats and other towing applications. Reductions in the fuel’s sulfur content have made it more environmentally friendly.

Fuel Efficiency - Diesel fuel contains more energy per gallon than gasoline, which results in an average of 30 percent better fuel efficiency.

Cooler Fuel - Diesel fuel prolongs engine life by burning at a cooler temperature and reducing wear.

Allstate video demonstrating how quickly and easily a car can be stripped of its parts.

It doesn’t take long for thieves to strip a car for parts to sell on the black market. As a way to remind drivers of this, Allstate Insurance Co. launched a 14-state tour in April of this year to show just how fast a car can be stolen and stripped.

The insurance company tested the live chop shop demonstration at lunchtime for a crowd of more than 100 Allstate employees and media at its headquarters in Northbrook. The “Stripped In Seconds” campaign involved Sterling Auto Body Employees armed with common hand tools and a timer. The demonstration, a lesson in theft prevention, shows what happens inside a chop shop as the auto body employees race against the clock to rip the car to pieces, turning it into a pile of parts sold for big bucks.

During the demonstration, the Sterling Auto Body Employees hustled to dismantle a white Honda Civic in just under six minutes. Signs were then placed on the parts to show how much money thieves can typically get for the parts. The bumper is valued at $250 on the black market, the quarter panels go for about $400 while the headlights were valued at $165.

These days cars aren’t being stolen to take on fancy joy rides. They are taken apart to sell the parts. The stolen car’s parts are usually sold for more than the value of the vehicle. A car thief can make more money these days stealing cars and trucks and stripping them down than trying to find someone to buy a stolen vehicle. Every part is a potential financial windfall. Body panels, electrical components, wheels, tires and mechanical parts including engines and transmissions are the reasons for most of the auto thefts in both Canada and the US.

Allstate says most stolen vehicles are historically reliable rides that stay on the road longer. A dependable car’s parts don’t end up as salvage, so spare parts can be more difficult to find, creating a black market for thieves. The Honda Civic, Dodge Caravan and Oldsmobile Cutlass are the top targets in Illinois for thieves, according to Allstate. The company added that a car is stolen in the United States every 33 seconds, citing the National Insurance Crime Bureau.

Suburban police departments say auto theft is more prevalent in Chicago, but stress it happens everywhere. The Illinois State Police reported that 628 vehicles were stolen in 2008 in DuPage County, 459 in Lake County and 155 in McHenry County. Cook County saw 24,554 auto thefts during 2008.

To protect your ride always lock your vehicle and take the keys. One out of every five vehicles stolen had the keys in it, and almost half of all vehicles stolen were unlocked. Most chop shop car thieves rely on you leaving the doors unlock and the keys in the ignition. A thief driving a stolen vehicle is less likely to be caught when they have the keys to your vehicle. They can sell a stolen vehicle to any number of both large and small salvage companies when they have the keys and the ownership that you conveniently left them in your stolen vehicle. Most salvage yards don’t usually ask questions when a vehicle with so many salvageable parts rolls into their yard. All salvage yard sales reps worry about selling not where the part came from.

What is being done by the police to protect consumers here in Canada and in the US? Literally nothing. Two factors have exacerbated the problem: Border officials on both side of the Canada US border don’t routinely check shipping containers to see if the contents inside are stolen, and police auto theft squads have weakened over time. Police are increasingly powerless to stop the black market cross border transporting of salvage parts procured from stolen vehicles.

Ten years ago in Ontario Canada the Provincial Auto Theft Team (PATT) had 48 officers attached to it, 23 of them dedicated full time. In 2009 it was down to 15. PATT was established in 1995 as a joint task force involving the OPP, the Insurance Bureau of Canada, the Canada Border Services Agency and local police forces, to stop auto theft rings. But the border services, along with Toronto, York and Peel police, has since left the team. Toronto’s auto theft squad used to have around 30 officers assigned to it. Toronto with a population of 2.48 million people (5.5 million in the GTA - Greater Toronto Area) has just 10 officers assigned full time to auto theft. York Regional Police has 11 officers attached to its auto squad. Peel has eight. Durham has just one.

“People think this is a victimless crime,” says Stephen Boyd, an investigator with the Ontario Provincial Police, “that the insurance companies pay out for the cars and no one gets hurt. But it’s not.”

The problem is the volume of stolen car parts entering Canada

Shipping a container with stolen cars or car parts under the current legislation is relatively easy. Before a container can be exported, a customs declaration must be completed identifying, among other things, the shipper, the contents of the container and the destination. The problem lies in customs agents inspecting containers entering Canada. The shear volume makes it impossible to open and inspect every container that enters Canada. Because of this a number of containers with stolen car parts enter Canada every day. Border agents only investigate a container that is suspected of carrying stolen car parts when the paperwork looks suspect or when they act on a tip by either US or Canadian authorities.

Stealing, driving or shipping a stolen vehicle in Canada, if caught, results in a charge under the Criminal Code of possession of stolen property over $5,000 or with theft over $5,000. Repeat offenders and those charged with multiple thefts rarely face jail time. Police say they are consistently arresting the same cast of characters.

“They’re just the foot soldiers,” says Paul Lasalle, a York auto squad detective. The “big players,” are the freight forwarders who either knowingly or unknowingly allow stolen vehicles and cars parts to be placed in their containers and transported cross border

The problem (with arresting a freight forwarder) is proving knowledge, Police must prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that the person knows what is in the container..

Police and the Insurance Bureau have long been calling for tougher legislation. They’ve been asking for legislation that would make altering a vehicle identification number an offense, and those convicted of trafficking in stolen car and car parts get mandatory prison sentences. A bill that would allow the Canada Border Services Agency to prevent cross-border movement of property obtained through crime would seriously impact the black market industry. The one solution with the most immediate effect would be for the Canada Border Services Agency to hold for inspection all containers with declared contents of cars and used or salvage auto parts. A quick inspection and comparison with the corresponding customs declaration could identify suspect stolen cars and car parts. Will that ever happen? Not likely. The shear volume of stolen cars and car parts entering and leaving Canada today makes it practically impossible.

There is a very easy solution that you, the consumer, can take to protect yourself. If you want assurances that the salvage auto parts you are buying are not stolen only buy salvage auto parts from your local wreckers. If you call and order from only local suppliers odds are the salvage auto parts you buy are from scrap cars and not stolen stripped vehicles. Your local salvage supplier is a part of your community and in order to stay in business they will need to remain honest. Your local supplier are people you grew up with, people you went to school with or went to church with. They will not cheat or deceive you. Also, if you buy from a salvage supplier that is Canadian owned and operated your hard earned money stays in Canada. If you buy from US salvage suppliers your money is going directly to the US. If you buy from a US supplier there is always the possibility that the salvage auto parts you buy could be stolen. If you live in the US the same prudence applies. Only buy from local suppliers. Your money stays locally and chances are you won’t be buying stolen parts from Canada or Mexico.

Ask the supplier of the salvage parts questions each and every time you are shopping for used parts. Buy only parts that are already in stock. That way you save both time and money. If a part isn’t in stock you could be made to wait and you could be required to fork over more money than the part is worth as shipping costs are always added to the cost of every part sold. It might not state the actual shipping cost on the invoice as the cost is usually worked into the price. Local parts are a lot cheaper because they are free of long haul shipping fees.

Another very important thing to remember is to shop around. If the first supplier you called or visited doesn’t have what you are looking for in stock chances are another supplier in your area will.

If the part you need isn’t in stock anywhere locally and you really need the part ask the supplier who is going to have it brought in for you to state in writing exactly where the part is coming from and always require that the serial number of the vehicle it is coming from be put on the invoice. By doing so the supplier becomes liable if it is determined some time in the future that the part came from a stolen vehicle that was stripped of its parts and sold on the black market. Paperwork like an invoice with information as to who sold you the part, where the part came from and the serial number of the vehicle it came from is you best protection against being charged by your local law enforcement agency for possession of stolen car parts. That invoice is your proof that you bought the part in good faith and that you had no intention on buying any stolen auto parts. That invoice makes your supplier accountable. It keeps the honest suppliers in business and puts the dishonest ones out of business. Bottom line, buy only locally, buy only parts that are in stock (shop around by phone if not in stock) and demand a detailed invoice every time you buy used auto parts.

Identity theft is a form of fraud in which someone pretends to be someone else by assuming that person’s identity, typically in order to access resources or obtain credit and other benefits in that person’s name. An identity thief typically impersonates someone else in order to conceal their own true identity. If a US company bought a Canadian company and continued to use the original Canadian company’s identifying marks like name, logo and motto, wouldn’t that be considered to be identity theft? They are after all using the Canadian company’s good name, credit history, Canadian clientele and Canadian identity to access resources or obtain credit and other benefits in that company’s name. Pretending to be a Canadian company in order to conceal their US identity.

Foreign ownership of companies of Canada has long been a controversial political issue in Canada. Concerns regarding foreign ownership generally regard ownership by individuals or companies based in the United States, though foreign ownership occurs from entities and individuals based in other countries as well. Some estimates state that more than 50% of the petroleum and gas industry and more than 50% of all manufacturing in Canada is foreign-owned and foreign-controlled.

Of note is that Canada’s largest companies by value, and largest employers, tend to be foreign-owned in a way that is more typical of a developing nation than a G8 member. The best example is the automotive sector, one of Canada’s most important industries. It is dominated by American, German, and Japanese giants. Although this situation is not unique to Canada in the global context, it is unique among G-8 nations, and many other relatively small nations also have national automotive companies such as South Korea’s Kia and Hyundai.

When Canadians go shopping are they buying at Canadian owned and operated companies or foreign owned and operated companies? When Canadians make a purchase where is their hard earned money going? More than likely the money is going out of the country. When Canadians shop and buy at major department stores throughout Canada their money is more than likely going to the United States. The tax revenue the US government collects from that money goes to finance US wars abroad, US CIA covert operations like kidnapping, sabotage, political assassinations and torture of people opposed to the US foreign policies and wars of aggressions. US tax dollars from Canadians purchases in Canada, from stores they thought were Canadian owned, is helping the US government finance their wars of aggressions against Iraq and Afghanistan. Its helping the US government build and stockpile more advanced and deadly weapons that will kill more civilians, mostly women and children, than foreign combat troops. All those who were opposed to the US attacking Iraq were actually supporting and financing the US unlawful attack against Iraq, by buying from US owned and operated department stores and companies in Canada.

If you had an informed choice where would you shop? Would you support Canadian owned and operated businesses or US and foreign owned and operated businesses? To help you be more informed the following is a list of companies, stores and businesses that are no longer Canadian. Many on this list, to this day, use misleading and false advertising to deceive Canadians into shopping and buying from them by implying that they are Canadian owned and operated, when they are not. According to our Canadian legal system such misleading practices are illegal. The use of the name Canada or Canadian by any foreign country is illegal.

Use of Canadian symbols abroad as an element of a foreign trademark

Under Article 6.ter of the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property (Stockholm text, 1967),

“(1)(a) The countries of the Union agree to refuse or to invalidate the registration, and to prohibit by appropriate measures the use, without authorization by the competent authorities, either as trademarks or as elements of trademarks, of armorial bearings, flags, and other State emblems, of the countries of the Union, official signs and hallmarks indicating control and warranty adopted by them, and any imitation from a heraldic point of view.”

Pursuant to paragraph 3 of Article 6.ter Canada has notified to the World Intellectual Property Organization its wish to protect the Canadian flag, coat of arms and 11-point red maple leaf emblem against unauthorized use.

With the economy the way it is most people can’t afford to buy a new car or truck. These days most people do only immediate and necessary repairs to their vehicles. Most can’t afford too many added expenses to their already tight budget. Even though times are tough most people still want to drive around in a vehicle that looks good. What choices do they have? One is to buy a new vehicle but that means a big debt for years. The least expensive and most affordable choice is to fix it up - restore it. There are many different things that you can have done to your debt free vehicle that will make it look new again. Although these little repairs and additions will cost a little money it is well worth it.

By now you must have heard about the Canadian “Retire Your Ride” program. For a few hundred dollars you are encouraged to retire your ride. You are told that by doing so you are saving the environment as you will be removing your old polluting vehicle from our roads. What you aren’t told is the real reason for this program. They want you to give up your vehicle for a few hundred dollars. A vehicle they know you own out right. A vehicle that you no longer make monthly payments towards. They want to you give up your cheap mode of transportation and your financial freedom. They want you to go in debt again. They want you to buy a brand new, drastically overpriced gas guzzlers that spews out as much pollution as your current vehicle. They don’t want you to know that you can turn your old ride into a more fuel efficient and low emission vehicle for thousands of dollars less than a brand new vehicle.

By spending a fraction of the cost of a new vehicle you can restore your debt free vehicle to its original condition. You can buy aftermarket body parts for a fraction of the price of a new vehicle. So if you have a low paying job good luck getting any bank to give you a loan for a brand new car or truck. Because of the sticker price these days for a new car or truck you must show the bank or financing company that you are able to pay at least an extra $300 a month towards car payments. Add on at least another $150 a month for full insurance coverage that the banks will require for the duration of the loan. Add $100 per hour for regular vehicle maintenance costs that the dealerships require you to pay until you’ve paid off the loan in full or fulfilled your leasing agreement. Then there is the cost of fuel - currently hovering around $1 per liter. Add the cost to have a new vehicle (a least $600 per month) and you will come to realize very quickly that you cannot afford the new vehicle. You’ll wish you kept your older vehicle that you owned, debt free.

What do you really get for retiring your ride? You get, on average, just $300. In order to get that amount, the vehicle you are retiring must be in working condition. $300 for a working vehicle is a rip off. If you retire your ride you also add an unaffordable debt to your already tight budget and all the headaches that goes with trying to keep up with you monthly commitment for your new ride.

Is it worth it? For you, a big fat no. For them it means they’ve unloaded another overpriced vehicle, a vehicle that will have the very same mechanical problems as your debt free vehicle. Your debt free vehicle needs oil changes, new tires and brake changes, so will a brand new vehicle. Your debt free vehicle needs fuel, so does any brand new vehicle. Your debt free vehicle will need maintenance and repairs, so will a brand new vehicle. The difference between keeping your vehicle and buying a new vehicle is that for a brand new vehicle repairs and maintenance will cost a whole lot more.

Your most economically and environmentally viable solution is Restore Your Vehicle, Don’t Retire It. US companies have been buying Canadian companies at a record pace since Stephen Harper became minority Prime Minster of Canada and the results are Canadian jobs being lost and the standard of living for Canadian employees being slashed in order for the US head offices to rake in more profits. When US companies buy Canadian companies there are always big job loses. Lately US companies have been buying very successful Canadian companies just to close them down - killing their Canadian competition - perfect examples are the Hamilton Ontario Steel mills. When US companies buy Canadian companies they immediately ignore Canadian Labor Laws, robbing Canadian employees of their rightful earnings, benefits and pensions.

When you restore you ride you win. Think about it. You own your vehicle outright. You are debt free, at least as far as your transportation is concerned. Why would you give up your perfectly good working vehicle for a few hundred dollars just so that they can put you in debt for years by buying their overpriced, gas guzzling, high maintenance new car or truck you can’t afford in the first place? Keep it, restore it and save your money. And remember support Canadian owned and operated companies for all your automotive repairs, both mechanical and auto body.

Bernard Lawrence “Bernie” Madoff is a United States former stock broker, investment adviser, non-executive chairman of the NASDAQ stock market, and the admitted operator of what has been described as the largest Ponzi scheme in history. In March 2009, Madoff pleaded guilty to 11 federal crimes and admitted to turning his wealth management business into a massive Ponzi scheme that defrauded thousands of investors of billions of dollars. Madoff said he began the Ponzi scheme in the early 1990s. However, federal investigators believe the fraud began as early as the 1980s. On June 29, 2009 Madoff was sentenced to 150 years imprisonment and forfeiture of $170.179 billion

A Ponzi scheme is best summed up in the phrase “rob Peter to pay Paul,” meaning: use one investor’s money to pay the returns of another investor. The money in a Ponzi scheme flows through a central agent who moves it around creating the illusion of earnings. Ponzi schemes are successful because investors typically continue to reinvest their earnings into the scam. This constant reinvestment of securities causes a financial bubble to grow. Inevitably, the bubble reaches critical mass and implodes.

Group Life and Health Insurance is truly a Ponzi scheme in the classic sense, where the first contributors to the fund are paid benefits mainly out of the funds received from the contributions of later participants. The perpetuation of the returns that a Ponzi scheme advertises and pays requires an ever-increasing flow of money from investors to keep the scheme going. It is for this reason that Group Life and Health Insurance plans need you to commit to the scheme with monthly payments, payments that they illegally deduct from your employment pay cheques.

A Ponzi scheme is closely related to a pyramid because it revolves around continuous recruiting, but in a Ponzi scheme the promoter (insurance broker) generally has no product to sell and pays no commission to investors (policy holders) who recruit new “policy holding members”. Instead, the promoter (insurer) collects payments from a group of people, promising them all the same high rate of return (life and health benefits) on a short-term investment. In the typical Ponzi scheme, there is no real investment opportunity, and the promoter just uses the money from new recruits (new Group Life and Health Insurance Policy holders) to pay obligations owed to existing longer-standing members of the program. In English, there is an expression that nicely summarizes this scheme: It’s called “stealing from Peter to pay Paul.” In fact they take monthly Group Life and Health Insurance Policy deductions from your hard earned pay cheques and pay benefits to any number of other existing and new Group Life and Health Insurance Policy holders.

Ponzi schemes are quite seductive because they may be able to deliver a high rate of return to a few early investors for a short period of time. Yet, Ponzi schemes are illegal because they inevitably must fall apart. No program can recruit new members forever. Every Ponzi scheme collapses because it cannot expand beyond the size of the earth’s population. When the scheme collapses, most investors find themselves at the bottom, unable to recoup their losses.

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to separate investors from their own money or money paid by subsequent investors. Group Life and Health Insurance Policies are exactly the same type of fraudulent investment because it too pays benefits to separate investors (the insured) from their own money and from money deducted from the pay cheques of subsequent group policy holders. Ask any group life or disability insurance recipients how many of them feel secure based on the miniscule benefits they are receiving. This type of insurance Ponzi Scheme targets the middle class. This type of fraud is a Communistic spreading of wealth from the middle class to the poor, not from the wealthy to the poor. Policy contributions have always been cut off at a level of income associated with the middle class, leaving the wealthy free of liability on most of their income because group life and disability insurance benefits are capped, presumably making group life and disability insurance deductions, above the designated maximum level of income, unfair. In the end, the poor are still poor, the middle class has now joined the ranks of the poor, and the wealthy are now fabulously wealthy, which results are characteristic of any Communistic or Fascistic form of governance. The Life and Disability Insurance Communistic, Fascistic mantra has been: Give us your money and we will take care of you from the cradle to the grave.

Very few people come to their senses and see insurance brokers for what they truly are - criminals. Seriously, how can you personally benefit from a group life insurance policy, a policy that you’ve been duped into paying into for decades, when you are dead? You will never know if your beneficiary will even receive the money owed you from your policy. You will never know if the people you were looking out for will actually be taken care of, as stipulated by your insurance broker. The majority of policy claims never get the full stated value for the paid into policy. The insurance companies always decides in favor of their own survival and will use any and all excuses to not pay what is owed. Hurricane Katrina is the perfect example of insurance fraud by the insurance companies. Insurance companies like Allstate Insurance simply refused to pay their policy holders’ claims - both life and property claims. To this day, many insurance policy holders have still not been paid a dime.

Ponzi schemes continue to plague us and challenges the law enforcement community. In the U.S., the Federal Trade Commission is just one among many agencies that have the authority to file suit to stop this type of fraud. The Securities and Exchange Commission also pursues these schemes, obtaining injunctions against so-called “financial distribution networks” which in fact sell unregistered “securities.” The U.S. Department of Justice, in collaboration with investigative agencies like the FBI and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, prosecutes ponzi schemes criminally for mail fraud, securities fraud, tax fraud, and money laundering.

A Ponzi scheme is built on the word-of-mouth of its early investors. Once a schemer is able to get paid a return on initial investments, those happy investors urge others to take part in the scheme. In a scheme like Bernie Madoff’s, which operated for the better part of 15 years, it’s likely that many early investors made money and got out before the bubble burst. However, that doesn’t put them in the clear. There exists a “clawback provision” in the case of Ponzi schemes, wherein a court-appointed receiver or trustee can sue any investor for money he has received in excess of his investment. Anyone breathing a sigh of relief for pulling out early of a Ponzi Scheme (Group Life and Health Insurance Policy included) may find himself on the business end of a lawsuit.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) forcefully criticised Obama’s health care reform bill in an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” earlier this year. Graham compared it to a “Ponzi scheme”: “You– you take $570 billion out of Medicare to pay for the health care bill. Then you’re using that same $570 to say it lowers the growth of Medicare over time,” Graham said. He added: “So, it is a house of cards. It is a Ponzi scheme of the first order. It’s gonna blow up the deficit. It’s gonna affect every business, every family in this country…”

Calling the Senate health care bill a package that Ponzi schemer “Bernie Madoff would really envy,” Republican Sen. Jon Kyl stated that the legislation is long on promises but short on accounting. “Any private or any publicly traded business that claimed it was making a profit because it booked revenue over 10 years but only booked expenses over six years would wind up in jail. That’s what this bill does, that’s just many of the frauds and hat tricks in this bill,” Kyl said on “Fox News Sunday.”

For the first time a study of the health risks of transgenic corn approved for consumption reveals signs of hepatorenal toxicity.

CRIIGEN performed a counter evaluation of Monsanto’s regulatory study on rats fed MON863 GMO corn for three months. This study was used to authorize the international sale of this corn. The symptoms discovered during this counter evaluation are coherent, and observed in control rats of the same genetic strain, same age, and raised in strictly identical conditions. The rats were fed a diet of chemical composition considered to be equivalent, but without the toxin Bt, which is the insecticide that is self-produced by the GMO corn. On average, the female rats experienced weight gain, significant increases in sugar and fat levels in the blood, disruption of renal functions and an increase in kidney weight compared to the rest of the body. Inversely, male rats lost weight, their kidneys become more sensitive and lost weight compared to the rest of the body. Additionally, ion analyses were modified in urine, which is likely related to the diagnosed nephropathies. Rats do develop this naturally with age, but the rats used in this case were young (5 months old at the end of the study). Some hepatic function markers were also affected. It is important to note that toxic products such as pesticides, as in initial stages of cancer, often provoke different effects depending on gender. It is not possible, through such short-term tests, to identify the beginning of any particular disease. But it was “detoxification” organs, as they are traditionally referred to, that reacted in this study.

Variations in the animals’ weights were not statistically studied by Monsanto, which published on the subject in 2006, nor were the data on urinary chemistry. The statistics were not explored further and their protocols are highly debatable.

Studies indicate that 2 percent of adults and 8 percent of children have food allergies. Inhaling pollen from GM crops is creating new threats that need to be researched and evaluated. In a 1999 statement posted on Soy Info Online, Joe Cummins, professor emeritus of genetics at the University of Western Ontario says that “GM pollen is likely to open an extended range of allergy and may cause autoimmune disease or other kinds of toxicity.”

Studies indicate that residues of glyphosate in foods may increase the incidence of certain cancers, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Bovine growth hormone (rBGH) found in most milk (unless the package notes otherwise) has been linked to breast cancer and diabetes. Transgenic cotton contains Bromorynil (brand name Buctril), which causes birth defects and is suspected as a cause of liver tumors. Cottonseed oil is found in many food products — another reason to read labels.

It took 60 years of Dichloro-Diphenyl-Trichloroethane (or DDT) use for its health hazards to be recognized by the government and for it to be banned in the United States.

Prince Charles of Great Britain is an outspoken anti-GE advocate. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration consistently maintains that GE foods are safe. Margaret Miller, former lab supervisor for Monsanto, helped the company develop rBGH. She left the company to become the deputy director of Human Food Safety and Consultation services at the FDA, where she helped push through FDA approval for rBGH.

Consumers are calling for more safety guidelines. In January 2001, the Consumer Federation of America, a coalition of 270 consumer groups — including the American Association of Retired People — called on President George W. Bush and Congress to label biotech food and to require strict safety and environmental testing. In a 250-page report financed by a grant from the prestigious Rockefeller Foundation, the federation said the United States government has basically abandoned its responsibility to ensure the safety of genetically engineered foods. The report also calls for the end of a government policy that holds that GE foods are substantially equivalent to their non-GE counterparts.

Some politicians are speaking out. When he introduced the Genetically Engineered Food Right To Know Bill in 2001, Congressman Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, noted that “Government has a moral and legal responsibility to ensure the safety and purity of our food supply. We cannot abdicate this responsibility to global corporations whose goals may be limited to profit-making.”

Congressman Jack Metcalf, R-Wash., joined Kucinich and a bipartisan group to cosponsor HR 3883, the GE Safety Testing Bill. He has been quoted as saying, “I am not convinced that enough research has been conducted to determine the long-term health effects of genetically modified foods, and I believe that American citizens should have the right to know what they are eating.”

So what is an alternative solution? Stop messing around with mother nature. Stop messy around with our food sources. If farmers want a better return for their labor modifying the food staples is not the answer. Modifying your market is the answer. Now that modified corn has been proven to be unsafe for both human and animal consumption the most profitable solution for farmers is to grow corn as a source of renewable ethanol fuel. The benefits of ethanol fuel are not only limited to providing larger profit shares for farmers ethanol fuel is a benefit to the environment and the process of making ethanol generates a series of valuable co-products including corn oil, protein feed, gluten meal, germ, refined starches, corn sweeteners and commercial carbon dioxide. The value of the final products is roughly double that of the raw corn.

The strongest arguments for using unmodified corn for ethanol production is that it is a cleaner burning fuel. Ethanol’s oxygen content helps gasoline burn more efficiently, cutting tailpipe pollutants including carbon monoxide and benzene. Over 99% of fuel ethanol in the US is sold as E10, a 10% blend with gasoline. But E85, an 85% blend, is beginning to emerge. The big three US automakers annually sell around 250,000 flexible fuel vehicles capable of running on both E10 and E85 fuel blends, both at no added cost to buyers. How will ethanol fuel made from unmodified corn help the environment? E10 fuel blends can cut carbon monoxide emissions by 20%, benzene emissions by 25% and overall gasoline toxicity by 30%. Imagine what an E85 ethanol fuel blend can do to help reduce carbon monoxide emissions, reduce cancer causing benzene (The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has determined that benzene causes cancer in humans. Benzene is also the cause of AIDS. You can not cure AIDS until you shut off the continued exposure to benzene) emissions and overall gasoline toxicity. The good news is that clean ethanol fuel made from corn is a renewable fuel source. If we used only corn for ethanol production the oil companies cannot falsely argue that by producing more ethanol fuel we will be causing the starvation of millions of people and or be responsible for higher food costs. Seriously, how many times do you buy corn when you go shopping for the food you and your family needs? Most, myself included, only buy corn when it is in season. Now that they’ve modified it I will no longer buy corn. I am no fool. I know other countries use corn as their main food staple or one of their main food staples. So how will this affect them? Again I must point out that the genetically modified corn that the US and Canada is growing isn’t fit for human consumption. That means not fit for human consumption not just in the US and Canada but anywhere on Earth. So the solution? Instead of wasting billions of bushels of genetically modified corn that has already been grown and harvested use it all as a fuel. Once this vial corn has been eradicated World wide then plant unmodified corn for both human consumption as a food and a fuel. Like Mother Nature make corn production a harmonious balance - grown first and foremost as a food source and only the excess used as a fuel source.

The oil companies are threatened whenever someone seeks alternative fuel sources - cleaner fuel sources. Ethanol is a threat to their $billion mass polluting industry. Of course they are going to blame you and I and terrorize you and I. They will and have spent $billions in bribes of politicians and regulatory board members. They will spare no effort or cost to discredit any research and report that unequivocally proves that ethanol made from corn is probably the single greatest solution to meet all of our fuel needs, now and for generations to come.

To the Navajo, corn is freedom, a gift from the Mother Earth. Corn pollen is a symbol of fertility and of renewal. Its use brings you back into balance and harmony with life.

Clayton Brascoupé, program director of the Traditional American Farmers Association of New Mexico and Arizona, says, “Corn is our Mother. A mother does things for us, feeds us, provides medicine. We have a responsibility to Mother Corn to treat her in a respectful manner.”

We don’t know the long-term effects of eating transgenic food. Do we want to be guinea pigs for biotech researchers? How will this affect our children, our grandchildren and the human race?

Today, human genes are being inserted into plants and animals. Should we be “playing” with the building blocks of life? Do we as humans have the right to undo or meddle with a system that has taken thousands of years to evolve? I firmly believe the answer is a definitive and resounding no. Only fools play with fire. The wise know better.

The Afghan people can begin to grow and prosper just by eradicating the Opium fields and planting corn instead. That would be the greatest gift that Canada could give to the Afghan people.

There are a number of nuclear fission reactions that produce neither neutrons nor tritium, yet yield large quantities of energy.” Scientists have mistakenly reported on the process used to gain large amounts of energy in their experiments. A communication error has resulted in the World being denied access to a free energy source from the most abundant and cleanest fuel source on Earth - Water.

To understand the errors that caused the unnecessary wars to control the oil supply of the World we have to start with understanding the most important and basic fact - that water sustains all life on Earth. Water contains the oxygen we need to breath and the fuel (hydrogen) to create motion (life). No one on Earth can survive very long without water (H2O). We can’t survive and function without water. Our food can’t survive and grow without water either. About 1,460 teratonnes (Tt) of water covers 71% of the Earth’s surface, mostly in oceans and other large water bodies, with 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation. Only 2.75 percent of the water on Earth is freshwater. Saltwater oceans hold 97% of surface water. This fact alone states that 97% of the Earth’s water is readily available to mankind - not for human consumption (because humans require fresh water), but as the most abundant source of energy. How do we get that energy? By applying Cold Fission to saltwater which will provide both the energy we need to fuel our cars and homes as well as adds more oxygen to Earth’s atmosphere. Let me explain it all by starting with the very basics. First off what is Fission? Fission is defined as

1: a splitting or breaking up into parts
2: reproduction by spontaneous division of the body into two or more parts each of which grows into a complete organism
3: the splitting of an atomic nucleus resulting in the release of large amounts of energy

You already know that water’s chemical description is H2O - that is one atom of oxygen bound to two atoms of hydrogen. The hydrogen atoms are “attached” to one side of the oxygen atom, resulting in a water molecule having a positive charge on the side where the hydrogen atoms are and a negative charge on the other side, where the oxygen atom is. Since opposite electrical charges attract, water molecules tend to attract each other, making water kind of “sticky.” The side with the hydrogen atoms (positive charge) attracts the oxygen side (negative charge) of a different water molecule. All these water molecules attracting each other mean they tend to clump together forming water drops. As more water drops are formed they stick to each other to form a liquid state of water. Cold Fission is used to reverse the process - return water or split the liquid state of water back to its three atoms; an oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms. The bond between the oxygen and hydrogen atoms are very strong. The bond needs to be broken and Cold Fission does this. Most scientists would declare that it takes a lot of energy to break the bond between the oxygen and hydrogen that makes up water. That is why they continue to discredit all claims of Cold Fusion. But Cold Fission doesn’t require a lot of energy to split Water. In fact very little energy is required in Cold Fission to begin splitting the bond between the oxygen and hydrogen atoms of water. The very definition of fission is splitting or breaking up into “parts” and nowhere does it hint or suggest that energy, or a lot of energy is required to do it. Scientists have known for decades what it takes to break the bond that makes water. The secret they have been keeping from us is that water can easily be broken up into its oxygen and hydrogen parts by applying a resonant frequency (radio wave).

You already know that crystal radios were the only appliances on Earth that worked perfectly without using any energy supply. What you failed to see and understand is that they worked “without using any energy supply”. The crystal radio receiver (also known as a crystal set) is a very simple kind of radio receiver. It needs no battery or power source except the power received from radio waves by a long outdoor wire antenna. To listen to a specific broadcast we must tune in to the frequency being transmitted. Cold Fission uses low energy radio waves tuned to a specific frequency to split water into its oxygen and hydrogen parts.

The key to building a successful Cold Fission reactor is to find the resonant frequency of the bond that sticks the oxygen and hydrogen atoms together. That frequency has already be discovered. Applying the known resonant frequency in a Cold Fission reactor produces hydrogen fuel.

There are no environmental side effects (zero carbon emissions, zero toxicity) and by using sea water as a source of hydrogen fuel then all of the oil producing nations will have more fuel to sell to the World for decades longer, even centuries longer. We already know that oil is not limitless. As global warming is apparently to blame for the rising of the sea levels then using sea water as a source of hydrogen fuel also addresses and provides a solution to slow and or stop the rise in sea levels that threaten to flood and damage our coastal properties.

The technology exists to greatly increase the fuel mileage of every new and older vehicle on the road. The technology on all new vehicles, the ECM, O2 Sensors, MAFF and MAP Sensors are all responsible for low fuel efficiency. Another major culprit is the refining of the gasoline. The refineries have for the past 70 years been changing the properties of the gas so that no vehicle can achieve high fuel efficiency. The gas you pump into your vehicles is no longer pure gasoline. The gasoline is watered down. I know you are thinking that I am full of it but the next time you are driving on the road, on your way to work or shopping, look at the tailpipes of the vehicles in front of you. Most of the larger cars and trucks have water dripping from the exhaust pipe. That isn’t condensation that is the water in the gas that cannot be burned. The reason why all exhaust systems rust out is because of the water in the gasoline. Most every exhaust system begins rusting from inside.

If you look at a brand new muffler you will find a small hole on the bottom rear side of the muffler. Why is that there? To drain the water so that the muffler doesn’t rust out too quickly. It is only recently that car manufacturers have started using aluminium exhaust systems so that the watered down gasoline doesn’t rust out the system. In hot weather you don’t see as much water dripping because the outside humidity and very hot temperature of the exhaust system masks the problem.

More evidence that shows that the auto makers are purposely manufacturing cars and trucks to be very fuel inefficient is the vehicle’s fuel lines, mainly the return fuel line. If the vehicles were made to efficiently burn the fuel that is injected into the engine there would be absolutely no need for a return fuel line. The return fuel line returns fuel that wasn’t used in the engine combustion. Seriously think about this. If the manufacturers made a vehicle that is as fuel efficient and environmentally friendly as they claim their vehicles are then there would be zero emissions - zero CO2 emissions. All of the SUVs that are made by the Big Three manufacturers are no better than your older vehicle. They simply advertise - falsely - that they are. They do this to get you to buy their cars and trucks and you fall for it. - hook line and sinker.

So keep your ride and spend a few dollars to give it a much needed tune up. You will see a difference right away. Start using a higher grade of fuel if you are concerned about global warming. If you fall for the auto manufacturers’ BS don’t recycle it, sell it. Instead of a few hundreds dollars they give you to give up your perfectly good working vehicle you could get hundreds of dollars even a few thousands more for your perfectly good used vehicle.

Can vitamin D cure cancer? Surprisingly, the answer is yes.

Vitamin D is a powerful hormone that regulates and repairs bodily cells. In the past, people believed that taking 600 IU of vitamin D daily was enough for good health. Currently, researchers found that adults need at least 4,000 IU of vitamin D daily for therapeutic anticancer effects!

But how much is too much? Doesn’t vitamin D become toxic at high doses? Vitamin D does become toxic at high doses, but it’s much higher than you think. Researchers recently found that to poison yourself with vitamin D, you need to take at least 40,000 IU of vitamin D daily.

So if you have cancer, a strong and safe therapeutic dose of vitamin D could range between 10,000 IU and 20,000 IU daily.

In a discovery that has stunned even those behind it, scientists at a Toronto hospital say they have proof the body’s nervous system helps trigger diabetes, opening the door to a potential cure of the disease that affects millions of Canadians.

Diabetic mice became healthy virtually overnight after researchers injected a substance to counteract the effect of malfunctioning pain neurons in the pancreas.

“I couldn’t believe it,” said Dr. Michael Salter, a pain expert at the Hospital for Sick Children and one of the scientists. “Mice with diabetes suddenly didn’t have diabetes any more.”

The researchers caution they have yet to confirm their findings in people, but say they expect results from human studies within a year or so. Any treatment that may emerge to help at least some patients would likely be years away from hitting the market.

But the excitement of the team from Sick Kids, whose work is being published today in the journal Cell, is almost palpable.

“I’ve never seen anything like it,” said Dr. Hans Michael Dosch, an immunologist at the hospital and a leader of the studies. “In my career, this is unique.”

Their conclusions upset conventional wisdom that Type 1 diabetes, the most serious form of the illness that typically first appears in childhood, was solely caused by auto-immune responses — the body’s immune system turning on itself.

They also conclude that there are far more similarities than previously thought between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, and that nerves likely play a role in other chronic inflammatory conditions, such as asthma and Crohn’s disease.

The “paradigm-changing” study opens “a novel, exciting door to address one of the diseases with large societal impact,” said Dr. Christian Stohler, a leading U.S. pain specialist and dean of dentistry at the University of Maryland, who has reviewed the work.

“The treatment and diagnosis of neuropathic diseases is poised to take a dramatic leap forward because of the impressive research.”

About two million Canadians suffer from diabetes, 10% of them with Type 1, contributing to 41,000 deaths a year.

Insulin replacement therapy is the only acceptable treatment of Type 1 diabetes by Health Canada, even with its many serious and deadly side effects, ranging from heart attacks to kidney failure.

In Type 1 diabetes, the pancreas does not produce enough insulin to shift glucose into the cells that need it. In Type 2 diabetes, the insulin that is produced is not used effectively — something called insulin resistance — also resulting in poor absorption of glucose.

The problems stem partly from inflammation — and eventual death — of insulin-producing islet cells in the pancreas.

Dr. Dosch had concluded in a 1999 paper that there were surprising similarities between diabetes and multiple sclerosis, a central nervous system disease. His interest was also piqued by the presence around the insulin-producing islets of an “enormous” number of nerves, pain neurons primarily used to signal the brain that tissue has been damaged.

Suspecting a link between the nerves and diabetes, he and Dr. Salter used an old experimental trick — injecting capsaicin, the active ingredient in hot chili peppers, to kill the pancreatic sensory nerves in mice that had an equivalent of Type 1 diabetes.

“Then we had the biggest shock of our lives,” Dr. Dosch said. Almost immediately, the islets began producing insulin normally “It was a shock, really out of left field, because nothing in the literature was saying anything about this.”

It turns out the nerves secrete neuropeptides that are instrumental in the proper functioning of the islets. Further study by the team, which also involved the University of Calgary and the Jackson Laboratory in Maine, found that the nerves in diabetic mice were releasing too little of the neuropeptides, resulting in a “vicious cycle” of stress on the islets.

So next they injected the neuropeptide “substance P” in the pancreases of diabetic mice, a demanding task given the tiny size of the rodent organs. The results were dramatic.

The islet inflammation cleared up and the diabetes was gone. Some have remained in that state for as long as four months, with just one injection.

They also discovered that their treatments curbed the insulin resistance that is the hallmark of Type 2 diabetes, and that insulin resistance is a major factor in Type 1 diabetes, suggesting the two illnesses are quite similar.

The researchers are now setting out to confirm that the connection between sensory nerves and diabetes holds true in humans. If it does, they will see if their treatments have the same effects on people as they did on mice.

It is also estimated that within a couple of years, 50% of Canada’s greenhouse gas emissions will be attributable to the Athabascan Oil Sands. The province of Alberta, with 10% of Canada’s population is now responsible for 50% of Canada’s pollution!

The environmental disaster that is playing out in the Alberta’s Oil Sands, - all in the name of Canadian Prosperity and US insatiable demand for oil, has made Canada one of the worlds worst contributors of ‘carbon gas emissions’.

Demand for the sticky, dirty-to-extract crude of the tar sands (called bitumen) has soared. The sector has exploded. The pressure to develop keeps mounting, with no political will to curb it, despite the serious climate and financial risks involved.

The US demand has triggered the need/greed for more capacity out of the tar sands. It’s a massive infrastructure change, the advent of a whole new fossil fuel supply chain, or a “pollution delivery system”. The building of a continent-wide network of pipelines, some thousands of miles long, to transport the crude, as well as refinery expansions on the US side of the Great Lakes to process the raw goo into gas. Pipeline and refinery expansion applications are being made and approved right now with little general awareness of the potential long-term damage to the environment.

-At least 90% of the fresh water used in the oil sands ends up in ends up in tailing ponds so toxic that propane cannons are used to keep ducks from landing.

The tar sands have quickly grown to become the most destructive project on Earth. Their greenhouse gas emissions are the main reason Canada’s emissions keep rising, the main reason we cannot live up to international agreements, the main reason we are becoming an international pariah on the most important issue facing humanity.

It works 100% of the time to eradicate cancer completely, and cancer does not recur even years later. That is how researchers describe the most convincing cancer cure ever announced.

The weekly injection of just 100 billionths of a gram of a harmless glyco-protein (a naturally-produced molecule with a sugar component and a protein component) activates the human immune system and cures cancer for good, according to human studies among breast cancer and colon cancer patients, producing complete remissions lasting 4 and 7 years respectively. This glyco-protein cure is totally without side effect but currently goes unused by cancer doctors.

Normal Gc protein (also called Vitamin-D binding protein) , an abundant glyco-protein found in human blood serum, becomes the molecular switch to activate macrophages when it is converted to its active form, called Gc macrophage activating factor (Gc-MAF). Gc protein is normally activated by conversion to Gc-MAF with the help of the B and T cells (bone marrow-made and thymus gland-made white blood cells). But, as researchers explain it themselves, cancer cells secrete an enzyme known as alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase (also called Nagalase) that completely blocks conversion of Gc protein to Gc-MAF, preventing tumor-cell killing by the macrophages. This is the way cancer cells escape detection and destruction, by disengaging the human immune system. This also leaves cancer patients prone to infections and many then succumb to pneumonia or other infections.

The once-weekly injection of minute amounts of Gc-MAF, just 100 nanograms (billionths of a gram), activates macrophages and allows the immune system to pursue cancer cells with vigor, sufficient to produce total long-term cures in humans.

Nobuto Yamamoto, director of the Division of Cancer Immunology and Molecular Biology, Socrates Institute for Therapeutic Immunology, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, says this is “probably the most potent macrophage activating factor ever discovered.”

Once a sufficient number of activated macrophages are produced, another Gc-MAF injection is not needed for a week because macrophages have a half-life of about six days. After 16-22 weekly doses of Gc-MAF the amount of Nagalase enzyme fell to levels found in healthy people, which serves as evidence tumors have been completely eliminated. The treatment was fool-proof - - - it worked in 100% of 16 breast cancer patients and there were no recurrent tumors over a period of 4 years, says a report in the January 15 issue of the International Journal of Cancer. [International Journal Cancer.2008 January15; 122(2):461-7]

In another startling follow-up report by Dr. Yamamoto and colleagues, published in July 2008 issue of Cancer Immunology Immunotherapy, Gc-MAF therapy totally abolished tumors in 8 colon cancer patients who had already undergone surgery but still exhibited circulating cancer cells (metastases). After 32-50 weekly injections, ”all colorectal cancer patients exhibited healthy control levels of the serum Nagalase activity, indicating eradication of metastatic tumor cells,”said researchers, an effect that lasted 7 years with no indication of cancer recurrence either by enzyme activity or CT scans, said researchers. [Cancer Immunology, Immunotherapy Volume 57, Number 7 / July 2008] Published in an early online edition of this journal, this confirming report has received no attention by the new media so far, despite its striking importance.

Gc-MAF treatment for cancer has been agonizingly slow to develop. Dr. Yamamoto first described this immuno-therapy in 1993. [The Journal of Immunology, 1993 151 (5); 2794-2802]

In a similar animal experiment published in 2003, researchers in Germany, Japan and the United States collaborated to successfully demonstrate that after they had injected macrophage activating factor (Gc-MAF) into tumor-bearing mice, it totally eradicated tumors. [Neoplasia 2003 January; 5(1): 32–40]

In 1997 Dr. Yamamoto injected GcMAF protein into tumor-bearing mice, with the same startling results. A single enzyme injection doubled the survival of these mice and just four enzyme injections increased survival by 6-fold. [Cancer Research 1997 Jun 1; 57(11):2187-92]

In 1996 Dr. Yamamoto reported that all 52 cancer patients he had studied carried elevated blood plasma levels of the immune inactivating alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase enzyme (Nagalase), whereas healthy humans had very low levels of this enzyme. [Cancer Research 1996 Jun 15; 56(12):2827-31]

In the early 1990s, Dr. Yamamoto first described how the human immune system is disengaged by enzymes secreted from cancer cells, even filing a patent on the proposed therapy. [US Patent 5326749, July 1994; Cancer Research 1996 June 15; 56: 2827-31]

Activated Gc protein has been used in humans at much higher doses without side effect. This Gc macrophage activating factor (Gc-MAF) has been shown to be effective against a variety of cancers including breast, prostate, stomach, liver, lung, uterus, ovary, brain, skin, head/neck cancer, and leukemia.

Although GcMAF is also called Vitamin-D binding protein, the activation of macrophages does not require Vitamin D.

It cannot be said the Gc-MAF cancer cure has gone unheralded. Reuters News covered this developing story in January 2008. But the news story still did not receive top billing nor did it fully elucidate the importance of the discovery, actually made years ago, that the human body is capable of abolishing cancer once its immune system is properly activated.

GcMAF is a naturally made molecule and is not patentable, though its manufacturing process is patent protected. There is no evidence of any current effort to commercialize this therapy or put it into practice. Should such an effective treatment for cancer come into common practice, the income stream from health-insurance plans for every oncology office and cancer center in the world Would likely be reduced to the point of financial insolvency and hundreds of thousands of jobs would be eliminated.

The National Cancer Institute estimates cancer care in the U.S. costs ~$72 billion annually (2004). Furthermore, about $55 billion of cancer drugs are used annually, none which have not significantly improved survival rates throughout the history of their use. If a typical cancer patient had to undergo 30 GcMAF injections at a cost of $150 per injection, that would cost ~$4500, not counting doctor’s office visits and follow-up testing. For comparison, gene-targeted cancer drugs range from $13,000 to $100,000 in cost per year and produce only marginal improvements in survival (weeks to months). Up to this point, the National Cancer Institute is totally silent on this discovery and there is no evidence the cancer care industry plans to quickly mobilize to use this otherwise harmless treatment.

Sadly, the treatment you have just read about is not available anywhere. Its inventor is attempting to patent a version of it to profiteer off of it even though there is no need to improve upon the GcMAF molecule - - it worked without failure to completely cure four different types of cancer with no long-term remissions and without side effect. While GcMAF is produced by every healthy adult, there are no centers available to extract it from blood samples and inject it into patients with malignancies. Hopefully, someday, doctors will write protocols to do this and submit them to institutional review boards so GcMAF treatment can be performed on an experimental basis. The human species is now heavily infested with parasites, particularly the intestinal fluke Fasciolopsis buskii, the sheep liver fluke Fasciola hepatica, the pancreatic fluke of cattle Eurytrema pancreatica, the human liver fluke Clonorchis sinensis and the common roundworm, Ascaris. The increase in fluke parasitism is due to the establishment of a new “biological reservoir” in cattle, fowl and household pets. The increase in Ascaris parasitism is probably due to harboring of household pets.

At the same time, microcontamination of the human food supply with derivatives of the petroleum industry has occurred; these include solvents, antiseptics and numerous products used directly in the food industry. In the presence of benzene, Fasciolopsis buskii can complete its entire life cycle in the human body, not requiring a snail as an intermediate host, as it usually does. Other solvents contributing to parasitism include isopropyl alcohol, methanol, xylene, and toluene which now occur as residues in our foods and pollute our body products such as toothpaste, mouthwash, lotions and cosmetics. These solvents are also contaminants of animal feed, and thus are responsible for establishing the new biological reservoir or source of infection of flukes.

Different solvents accumulate preferentially in different organs, a phenomenon known as organotropism. Benzene accumulates in the thymus, resulting in damage to the thymus and completion of the life cycle of Fasciolopsis in the thymus. A stage in the life cycle of Fasciolopsis brings with it the HIV virus. This stage is normally found in snails, and indeed, I have found many snails infected with HIV. In the human, its preferred tissues of colonization are the thymus and penis in the male and the thymus and vagina in the female. The HIV virus has not yet become a human virus, since it disappears within 24 hours after the last fluke stage has been destroyed. However, it could become a true human virus through mutation, no doubt. For this reason it is of paramount importance to end this new kind of parasitism in humans quickly.

Removal of all solvents from the patient’s lifestyle and destruction of all fluke stages as well as elimination of undercooked beef, turkey, chicken and dairy products in the diet results in quick recovery, generally less than one week, from HIV infection. HIV/AIDS could be eradicated in a very short time by clearing our food animals and household pets of fluke parasites and by monitoring all food and feed for solvents.

The cause of benzene accumulation in some persons and not in others appears to be due to a lack of a vitamin, riboflavin (vitamin B2), eating more of a common food toxin, 4,5 benzopyrene, and more of a mycotoxin, zearalenone.

It’s the “why” that is, many times, hard to understand. Not the “why” that has a simple answer— money, frustration, anger, rage, or stupidity. The “whys” that are hard to answer are the less obvious, the less sensible ones; the ones that prove to be the most difficult for us to understand.

Most lawyers who go on television to discuss a crime will say that motive, the why of a crime, is not important. In fact, motive is not a legal element of a crime. However, intent or “mens rea,” the mental purpose of performing an act that is forbidden by law, is a legal element of a crime. Motive is the reason, the why, sometimes the darkest chapter in the darkest book in the massive library we call the human mind.

Motive is important because without an understanding of why people commit certain crimes in the way they do, we are left to begin at square one on every investigation

The US government planned for, prepared for, initiated and waged a war of aggression against Afghanistan in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances, immediately following this HOUSE COMMITTEE ON INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS hearing. NATO member countries are guilty of this crime of Crimes against Peace ((i)Planning, preparation, initiation or waging of a war of aggression or a war in violation of international treaties, agreements or assurances; (ii) Participation in a common plan or conspiracy for the accomplishment of any of the acts mentioned under (i)) as they are willing participants and co-conspirators in this war of aggression against the sovereign state of Afghanistan and its people.

The following US House of Representative hearing held on FEBRUARY 12, 1998 is the burden of proof that the US is guilty of crimes against peace and waging an illegal war of aggression against Afghanistan. The US government of Bill and Hillary Clinton was lobbied by the US oil giant Unicol to replace (overthrow) the Afghan Taliban government and replace it with one “that has the confidence of governments, lenders and our company”. The US government began planning to overthrow the Taliban government and replace it with a pro US leader 3 years before 9/11.

Mr. Chairman, I am John Maresca, Vice President, International Relations, of Unocal Corporation.

Unocal is one of the world’s leading energy resource and project development companies. Our activities are focused on three major regions — Asia, Latin America and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. In Asia and the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, we are a major oil and gas producer. I appreciate your invitation to speak here today. I believe these hearings are important and timely, and I congratulate you for focusing on Central Asia oil and gas reserves and the role they play in shaping U.S. policy.

Today we would like to focus on three issues concerning this region, its resources and U.S. policy:

The need for multiple pipeline routes for Central Asian oil and gas.

The need for U.S. support for international and regional efforts to achieve balanced and lasting political settlements within Russia, other newly independent states and in Afghanistan.

The need for structured assistance to encourage economic reforms and the development of appropriate investment climates in the region. In this regard, we specifically support repeal or removal of Section 907 of the Freedom Support Act.

For more than 2,000 years, Central Asia has been a meeting ground between Europe and Asia, the site of ancient east-west trade routes collectively called the Silk Road and, at various points in history, a cradle of scholarship, culture and power. It is also a region of truly enormous natural resources, which are revitalizing cross-border trade, creating positive political interaction and stimulating regional cooperation. These resources have the potential to recharge the economies of neighboring countries and put entire regions on the road to prosperity.

About 100 years ago, the international oil industry was born in the Caspian/Central Asian region with the discovery of oil. In the intervening years, under Soviet rule, the existence of the region’s oil and gas resources was generally known, but only partially or poorly developed.

As we near the end of the 20th century, history brings us full circle. With political barriers falling, Central Asia and the Caspian are once again attracting people from around the globe who are seeking ways to develop and deliver its bountiful energy resources to the markets of the world.

The Caspian region contains tremendous untapped hydrocarbon reserves, much of them located in the Caspian Sea basin itself. Proven natural gas reserves within Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan equal more than 236 trillion cubic feet. The region’s total oil reserves may reach more than 60 billion barrels of oil — enough to service Europe’s oil needs for 11 years. Some estimates are as high as 200 billion barrels. In 1995, the region was producing only 870,000 barrels per day (44 million tons per year [Mt/y]).

By 2010, Western companies could increase production to about 4.5 million barrels a day (Mb/d) — an increase of more than 500 percent in only 15 years. If this occurs, the region would represent about five percent of the world’s total oil production, and almost 20 percent of oil produced among non-OPEC countries.

One major problem has yet to be resolved: how to get the region’s vast energy resources to the markets where they are needed. There are few, if any, other areas of the world where there can be such a dramatic increase in the supply of oil and gas to the world market. The solution seems simple: build a “new” Silk Road. Implementing this solution, however, is far from simple. The risks are high, but so are the rewards.

Finding and Building Routes to World Markets

One of the main problems is that Central Asia is isolated. The region is bounded on the north by the Arctic Circle, on the east and west by vast land distances, and on the south by a series of natural obstacles — mountains and seas — as well as political obstacles, such as conflict zones or sanctioned countries.

This means that the area’s natural resources are landlocked, both geographically and politically. Each of the countries in the Caucasus and Central Asia faces difficult political challenges. Some have unsettled wars or latent conflicts. Others have evolving systems where the laws — and even the courts — are dynamic and changing. Business commitments can be rescinded without warning, or they can be displaced by new geopolitical realities.

In addition, a chief technical obstacle we face in transporting oil is the region’s existing pipeline infrastructure. Because the region’s pipelines were constructed during the Moscow-centered Soviet period, they tend to head north and west toward Russia. There are no connections to the south and east.

Depending wholly on this infrastructure to export Central Asia oil is not practical. Russia currently is unlikely to absorb large new quantities of “foreign” oil, is unlikely to be a significant market for energy in the next decade, and lacks the capacity to deliver it to other markets.

Certainly there is no easy way out of Central Asia. If there are to be other routes, in other directions, they must be built.

Two major energy infrastructure projects are seeking to meet this challenge. One, under the aegis of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium, or CPC, plans to build a pipeline west from the Northern Caspian to the Russian Black Sea port of Novorossisk. From Novorossisk, oil from this line would be transported by tanker through the Bosphorus to the Mediterranean and world markets.

The other project is sponsored by the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), a consortium of 11 foreign oil companies including four American companies — Unocal, Amoco, Exxon and Pennzoil. It will follow one or both of two routes west from Baku. One line will angle north and cross the North Caucasus to Novorossisk. The other route would cross Georgia and extend to a shipping terminal on the Black Sea port of Supsa. This second route may be extended west and south across Turkey to the Mediterranean port of Ceyhan.

But even if both pipelines were built, they would not have enough total capacity to transport all the oil expected to flow from the region in the future; nor would they have the capability to move it to the right markets. Other export pipelines must be built.

Unocal believes that the central factor in planning these pipelines should be the location of the future energy markets that are most likely to need these new supplies. Just as Central Asia was the meeting ground between Europe and Asia in centuries past, it is again in a unique position to potentially service markets in both of these regions — if export routes to these markets can be built. Let’s take a look at some of the potential markets.

Western Europe

Western Europe is a tough market. It is characterized by high prices for oil products, an aging population, and increasing competition from natural gas. Between 1995 and 2010, we estimate that demand for oil will increase from 14.1 Mb/d (705 Mt/y) to 15.0 Mb/d (750 Mt/y), an average growth rate of only 0.5 percent annually. Furthermore, the region is already amply supplied from fields in the Middle East, North Sea, Scandinavia and Russia. Although there is perhaps room for some of Central Asia’s oil, the Western European market is unlikely to be able to absorb all of the production from the Caspian region.

Central and Eastern Europe

Central and Eastern Europe markets do not look any better. Although there is increased demand for oil in the region’s transport sector, natural gas is gaining strength as a competitor. Between 1995 and 2010, demand for oil is expected to increase by only half a million barrels per day, from 1.3 Mb/d (67 Mt/y) to 1.8 Mb/d (91.5 Mt/y). Like Western Europe, this market is also very competitive. In addition to supplies of oil from the North Sea, Africa and the Middle East, Russia supplies the majority of the oil to this region.

The Domestic NIS Market

The growth in demand for oil also will be weak in the Newly Independent States (NIS). We expect Russian and other NIS markets to increase demand by only 1.2 percent annually between 1997 and 2010.

Asia/Pacific

In stark contrast to the other three markets, the Asia/Pacific region has a rapidly increasing demand for oil and an expected significant increase in population. Prior to the recent turbulence in the various Asian/Pacific economies, we anticipated that this region’s demand for oil would almost double by 2010. Although the short-term increase in demand will probably not meet these expectations, Unocal stands behind its long-term estimates.

Energy demand growth will remain strong for one key reason: the region’s population is expected to grow by 700 million people by 2010.

It is in everyone’s interests that there be adequate supplies for Asia’s increasing energy requirements. If Asia’s energy needs are not satisfied, they will simply put pressure on all world markets, driving prices upwards everywhere.

The key question is how the energy resources of Central Asia can be made available to satisfy the energy needs of nearby Asian markets. There are two possible solutions — with several variations.

Export Routes

East to China: Prohibitively Long?

One option is to go east across China. But this would mean constructing a pipeline of more than 3,000 kilometers to central China — as well as a 2,000-kilometer connection to reach the main population centers along the coast. Even with these formidable challenges, China National Petroleum Corporation is considering building a pipeline east from Kazakhstan to Chinese markets.

Unocal had a team in Beijing just last week for consultations with the Chinese. Given China’s long-range outlook and its ability to concentrate resources to meet its own needs, China is almost certain to build such a line. The question is what will the costs of transporting oil through this pipeline be and what netback will the producers receive.

South to the Indian Ocean: A Shorter Distance to Growing Markets

A second option is to build a pipeline south from Central Asia to the Indian Ocean.

One obvious potential route south would be across Iran. However, this option is foreclosed for American companies because of U.S. sanctions legislation. The only other possible route option is across Afghanistan, which has its own unique challenges.

The country has been involved in bitter warfare for almost two decades. The territory across which the pipeline would extend is controlled by the Taliban, an Islamic movement that is not recognized as a government by most other nations. From the outset, we have made it clear that construction of our proposed pipeline cannot begin until a recognized government is in place that has the confidence of governments, lenders and our company.

In spite of this, a route through Afghanistan appears to be the best option with the fewest technical obstacles. It is the shortest route to the sea and has relatively favorable terrain for a pipeline. The route through Afghanistan is the one that would bring Central Asian oil closest to Asian markets and thus would be the cheapest in terms of transporting the oil.

Unocal envisions the creation of a Central Asian Oil Pipeline Consortium. The pipeline would become an integral part of a regional oil pipeline system that will utilize and gather oil from existing pipeline infrastructure in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia.

The 1,040-mile-long oil pipeline would begin near the town of Chardzhou, in northern Turkmenistan, and extend southeasterly through Afghanistan to an export terminal that would be constructed on the Pakistan coast on the Arabian Sea. Only about 440 miles of the pipeline would be in Afghanistan.

This 42-inch-diameter pipeline will have a shipping capacity of one million barrels of oil per day. Estimated cost of the project — which is similar in scope to the Trans Alaska Pipeline — is about US$2.5 billion.

There is considerable international and regional political interest in this pipeline. Asian crude oil importers, particularly from Japan, are looking to Central Asia and the Caspian as a new strategic source of supply to satisfy their desire for resource diversity. The pipeline benefits Central Asian countries because it would allow them to sell their oil in expanding and highly prospective hard currency markets. The pipeline would benefit Afghanistan, which would receive revenues from transport tariffs, and would promote stability and encourage trade and economic development. Although Unocal has not negotiated with any one group, and does not favor any group, we have had contacts with and briefings for all of them. We know that the different factions in Afghanistan understand the importance of the pipeline project for their country, and have expressed their support of it.

A recent study for the World Bank states that the proposed pipeline from Central Asia across Afghanistan and Pakistan to the Arabian Sea would provide more favorable netbacks to oil producers through access to higher value markets than those currently being accessed through the traditional Baltic and Black Sea export routes.

This is evidenced by the netback values producers will receive as determined by the World Bank study. For West Siberian crude, the netback value will increase by nearly $2.00 per barrel by going south to Asia. For a producer in western Kazakhstan, the netback value will increase by more than $1 per barrel by going south to Asia as compared to west to the Mediterranean via the Black Sea.

Natural Gas Export

Given the plentiful natural gas supplies of Central Asia, our aim is to link a specific natural resource with the nearest viable market. This is basic for the commercial viability of any gas project. As with all projects being considered in this region, the following projects face geo-political challenges, as well as market issues.

Unocal and the Turkish company, Koc Holding A.S., are interested in bringing competitive gas supplies to the Turkey market. The proposed Eurasia Natural Gas Pipeline would transport gas from Turkmenistan directly across the Caspian Sea through Azerbaijan and Georgia to Turkey. Sixty percent of this proposed gas pipeline would follow the same route as the oil pipeline proposed to run from Baku to Ceyhan. Of course, the demarcation of the Caspian remains an issue.

Last October, the Central Asia Pipeline, Ltd. (CentGas) consortium, in which Unocal holds an interest, was formed to develop a gas pipeline that will link Turkmenistan’s vast natural gas reserves in the Dauletabad Field with markets in Pakistan and possibly India. An independent evaluation shows that the field’s resources are adequate for the project’s needs, assuming production rates rising over time to 2 billion cubic feet of gas per day for 30 years or more.

In production since 1983, the Dauletabad Field’s natural gas has been delivered north via Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia to markets in the Caspian and Black Sea areas. The proposed 790-mile pipeline will open up new markets for this gas, travelling from Turkmenistan through Afghanistan to Multan, Pakistan. A proposed extension would link with the existing Sui pipeline system, moving gas to near New Delhi, where it would connect with the existing HBJ pipeline. By serving these additional volumes, the extension would enhance the economics of the project, leading to overall reductions in delivered natural gas costs for all users and better margins. As currently planned, the CentGas pipeline would cost approximately $2 billion. A 400-mile extension into India could add $600 million to the overall project cost.

As with the proposed Central Asia Oil Pipeline, CentGas cannot begin construction until an internationally recognized Afghanistan government is in place. For the project to advance, it must have international financing, government-to-government agreements and government-to-consortium agreements.

The addition of chlorine to our drinking water began in the late 1800s and by 1904 was the standard in water treatment, and for the most part remains so today. We don’t use chlorine because it’s the safest or even the most effective means of disinfection, we use it because it is the cheapest. In spite of all our technological advances, we essentially still pour bleach in our water before we drink it. The long term effects of chlorinated drinking water have just recently being recognized. According to the U.S. Council Of Environmental Quality, “Cancer risk among people drinking chlorinated water is 93% higher than among those whose water does not contain chlorine.”

Dr. Joseph Price wrote a highly controversial book in the late sixties titled Coronaries/Cholesterol/Chlorine and concluded that nothing can negate the incontrovertible fact, the basic cause of atherosclerosis and resulting entities such as heart attacks and stroke, is chlorine.” Dr. Price later headed up a study using chickens as test subjects, where two groups of several hundred birds were observed throughout their span to maturity. One group was given water with chlorine and the other without. The group raised with chlorine, when autopsied, showed some level of heart or circulatory disease in every specimen, the group without had no incidence of disease. The group with chlorine under winter conditions, showed outward signs of poor circulation, shivering, drooped feathers and a reduced level of activity. The group without chlorine grew faster, larger and displayed vigorous health. This study was well recepted in the poultry industry and is still used as a reference today. As a result, most large poultry producers use dechlorinated water. It would be a common sense conclusion that if regular chlorinated tap water is not good enough for the chickens, then it probably is not good enough for us humans!

There is a lot of well founded concern about chlorine. When chlorine is added to our water, it combines with other natural compounds to form Trihalomethanes (chlorination byproducts), or THMs. These chlorine byproducts trigger the production of free radicals in the body, causing cell damage, and are highly carcinogenic. “Although concentrations of these carcinogens (THMs) are low, it is precisely these low levels that cancer scientists believe are responsible for the majority of human cancers in the United States“. The Environmental Defense Fund

Simply stated chlorine is a pesticide, as defined by the U.S. EPA, who’s sole purpose is to kill living organisms. When we consume water containing chlorine, it kills some part of us, destroying cells and tissue inside our body. Dr. Robert Carlson, a highly respected University of Minnesota researcher who’s work is sponsored by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency, sums it up by claiming , “the chlorine problem is similar to that of air pollution”, and adds that “chlorine is the greatest crippler and killer of modern times!”

Breast cancer, which now effects one in every eight women in North America, has recently been linked to the accumulation of chlorine compounds in the breast tissue. A study carried out in Hartford Connecticut, the first of it’s kind in North America, found that, “women with breast cancer have 50% to 60% higher levels of organochlorines (chlorination byproducts) in their breast tissue than women without breast cancer.”

One of the most shocking components to all of these studies is that up to 2/3s of our harmful exposure to chlorine is due to inhalation of steam and skin absorption while showering. A warm shower opens up the pores of the skin and allows for excelerated absorption of chlorine and other chemicals in water. The steam we inhale while showering can contain up to 50 times the level of chemicals than tap water due to the fact that chlorine and most other contaminants vaporize much faster and at a lower temperature than water. Inhalation is a much more harmful means of exposure since the chlorine gas (chloroform) we inhale goes directly into our blood stream. When we drink contaminated water the toxins are partially filtered out by our kidneys and digestive system. Chlorine vapors are known to be a strong irritant to the sensitive tissue and bronchial passages inside our lungs, it was used as a chemical weapon in World War II. The inhalation of chlorine is a suspected cause of asthma and bronchitis, especially in children… which has increased 300% in the last two decades. “Showering is suspected as the primary cause of elevated levels of chloroform in nearly every home because of chlorine in the water.” Dr Lance Wallace, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Chlorine in shower water also has a very negative cosmetic effect, robbing our skin and hair of moisture and elasticity, resulting in a less vibrant and youthful appearance. Anyone who has ever swam in a chlorinated pool can relate to the harsh effects that chlorine has on the skin and hair. What’s surprising is that we commonly find higher levels of chlorine in our tap water than is recommended safe for swimming pools.

Aside from all the health risks related to chlorine in our water, it is the primary cause of bad taste and odor in drinking water. The objectionable taste causes many people to turn to other less healthful beverages like soft drinks, tea or other sweetened drinks. A decreased intake of water, for any reason, can only result in a lower degree of health.

The good news is that chlorine is one of the easiest substances to remove from our water. How can you remove the chlorine from the water? Install a Brita (or similar) filter that attaches to your faucet. There are also water pitchers with filters available that will purify the water. In-line filters, which sit under your kitchen sink, are also an effective way to remove chlorine. The least expensive method of filtering your drinking water is by boiling or even setting water out in a large glass container in the sun for a few hours.

Milk has many qualities which has been proven beneficial for the health. Milk in the unpasteurized form is referred to as raw milk. Raw milk has several benefits. It is milk in its purest form and hence has more health benefits than pasteurized milk. In the earlier days, raw milk was used as a medicine for curing many disorders. Since, many people use to drink it regularly, most them were not infected by any kind of diseases. But, as time has passed, many of us have forgotten about the various raw milk benefits.

This rich probiotic food is a highly nutritious beverage that has nourished man and created strong, able bodies for thousands of years. It has even been used to heal the body. Unpasteurized milk contains lactic-acid-producing bacteria that protect against pathogens. Compared to industrial milk, dairy foods from grass-fed cows contain more omega-3 fats, more vitamin A, and more beta-carotene and other antioxidants.

Unpasteurized Milk Benefits

Raw milk has different kinds of nutrients which make it a balanced food. It also contains all the 8 different types of nutrients. This milk is also rich in proteins. Another benefit of raw milk is that it is easy to digest. It is also known to improve the absorption and assimilation of iron. It helps in the assimilation of body building factors like calcium. Raw milk stimulates the immune system and can alleviate medical conditions like asthma, autism and digestive disorders. The raw milk also consists of anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties. Raw milk lowers the pH level and prevents the growth of the microorganisms. This even kills the pathogens and bacterias thus, prevents the risk of food borne illnesses.

Researchers at the Institute of Social and Preventive Medicine at the University of Basel in Switzerland followed nearly 15,000 children ages 5 to 15 in Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, and Germany from 2001 to 2004. The study, sponsored by the European Union and published in 2007, found that children who drank raw milk had a lower incidence of asthma and allergies.

Spokesman Michael Herndon said the FDA advises against the consumption of raw milk because it is a welcoming host to pathogens such as listeria and salmonella. On its website, the FDA says there is no truth to the assertions that raw milk can cure allergies. The agency says children, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are particularly susceptible to the food-borne illnesses that can result from drinking unpasteurized milk.

Raw milk supporters see things differently. They say that although pasteurization kills dangerous bacteria and pathogens such as E. coli and listeria, it also destroys beneficial bacteria, enzymes, and raw fats that boost the immune system and aid digestion. Pasteurization usually goes hand in hand with homogenization, the process that breaks the fat globules in milk into smaller particles. The dairy industry homogenizes milk to prevent the cream from rising and to create a more uniform product, but raw milk advocates say that further corrupts the nutritional value of milk.

Not only is real (unpasteurized) milk a delight to your taste buds, but it is also very healthy for you - and yes for adults too! Butter and cream from grass-fed cows are a rare source of the unique and beneficial fat conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). According to the Journal of Dairy Science, the CLA in grass-fed butterfat is 500 percent greater than the butterfat of cows eating a typical dairy ration, which usually contains grain, corn silage, and soybeans.

CLA prevents heart disease, (probably by reducing atherosclerosis), fights cancer, and builds lean muscle. CLA aids weight loss in several ways: by decreasing the amount of fat stored after eating, increasing the rate at which fat cells are broken down, and reducing the number of fat cells.”

Butterfat helps the body digest the protein, and bones require saturated fats in particular to lay down calcium. The cream contains the vital fat-soluble and natural vitamins A and D. Without vitamin D, less than 10 percent of dietary calcium is absorbed. …Skim milk - especially industrial skim - is an inferior source of both. Skim and 2 percent milk must by law, be fortified with synthetic vitamin A and synthetic vitamin D.”

Glycosphingolipids are fats that protect against gastrointestinal infections, especially in the very young children and the elderly generation.

According to Dr. Mary Enig, World Leading Expert on the Biochemistry of Food and Fat, and Sally Fallon, President of The Weston A. Price Foundation, and authors of Eat Fat, Lose Fat: The Healthy Alternative to Trans Fats, “Children who drink skim milk and thus don’t get the benefits of glycosphingolipids, have diarrhea at rates three to five times greater than children who drink whole milk.

The common denominator among all these foods is cholesterol, which the body needs to produce a variety of steroids that protect against cancer, heart disease, and mental illness.

We cannot let our fear over tainted milk, and appreciation for the conveniences that pasteurization provide, stop us from bringing this valuable food source safely back to more people. This precious body building and healing food which supports our gastrointestinal function, has basically vanished from the North American landscape. Left on its own to decay, waste pumped from septic systems (known as septage) produce methane gas (a powerful greenhouse gas in itself) and carbon dioxide, the most popularized greenhouse gas. The result is steady supply of methane that can be used directly as fuel or mixed with natural gas for pipeline distribution. (Natural gas is mostly methane. The mix is relatively easy.) Septic waste could become a valuable commodity since it could be used to make fuel. If septic waste were channeled away from wastewater treatment facilities those facilities would be left to process only gray water, like dirty dish water.

Methane Fuel Generation From Human Wastes

- Anaerobic fermentation or digestion is the most promising process for converting organic materials to methane and other gases.
- A simple apparatus can be constructed to produce bio-gas.
- Bio-gas usually contains about 60 to 70 percent methane, 30 to 40 percent carbon dioxide, and other gases.

Converting organic materials, such as human wastes, to an easily used form of fuel can be accomplished by several methods. The process with the greatest potential is anaerobic fermentation or digestion.

The extraction of fuel from wastes using anaerobic digestion to produce bio-gas is not new and the general technology is well known. Bio-gas, which is methane and other gases, has been known as swamp gas, sewer gas and fuel gas. Sewage treatment plants generate bio-gas from the sewage sludge as part of the sewage treatment processes. Since sewage treatment is a 24/7 process bio-gas is being produced 24/7 as well. Today though, the bio-gas is not collected and used as a fuel source for the energy needs of the city, it is all vented. Using human waste to produce a renewable fuel source is not rocket science. All you have to know is how the fuel is produced and then you simply make modifications to the sewage processing plants to start producing an unending supply of fuel.

First off methane is produced by bacteria. The bacteria are anaerobes and operate only in anaerobic environments (no free oxygen). Constant temperature, pH and fresh organic matter promote maximum methane production. Temperatures usually are maintained at approximately 95 degrees F. Other temperatures can be used if held constant. For each 20 degrees F decrease, gas production will be cut approximately one half or will take twice as long. A constant temperature is critical. Temperature variations of as little as 5 degrees F can inhibit the methane-formers enough to cause acid accumulation and possible digester failure.

Anaerobic digestion is a series of processes in which micro organisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen and is widely used to treat wastewater. As part of an integrated waste management system, anaerobic digestion reduces the emission of landfill gas into the atmosphere. Anaerobic digestion is widely used as a renewable energy source because the process produces a methane and carbon dioxide rich biogas suitable for energy production helping replace fossil fuels. Also, the nutrient-rich digestate can be used as fertiliser. The digestion process begins with bacterial hydrolysis of the input materials in order to break down insoluble organic polymers such as carbohydrates and make them available for other bacteria. Acidogenic bacteria then convert the sugars and amino acids into carbon dioxide, hydrogen, ammonia, and organic acids. Acetogenic bacteria then convert these resulting organic acids into acetic acid, along with additional ammonia, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide. Methanogens, finally are able to convert these products to methane and carbon dioxide.

Anaerobic digestion is a two-part process and each part is performed by a specific group of organisms. The first part is the breakdown of complex organic matter (manure) into simple organic compounds by acid-forming bacteria. The second group of microorganisms, the methane-formers, break down the acids into methane and carbon dioxide. In a properly functioning digester, the two groups of bacteria must balance so that the methane-formers use just the acids produced by the acid-formers.

Anaerobic digestion facilities have been recognised by the United Nations Development Programme as one of the most useful decentralised sources of energy supply, as they are less capital intensive than large power plants.

A simple apparatus can produce bio-gas. The amount of the gas and the reliability desired have a great influence on the cost and complexity of the system. A simple batch-loaded digester requires an oxygen-free container, relatively constant temperature, a means of collecting gas, and some mixing. Because methane gas is explosive, appropriate safety precautions are needed.

The solution to 2 very major problems (energy needs and waste treatment) that all cities face is already flowing beneath their streets. The FuelReducer does not attach to the O2 sensor as the O2 sensor deals with the exhaust system of the vehicle. The FuelReducer attaches to the fuel intake line. You said your father is a long time retired mechanic so he would know from experience that in the old days we took out vehicles in to have people like him adjust the carburetor by turning 2 little screws that adjusted the fuel and air mixture. That is what the FuelReducer is doing but you never need to adjust it as it is precision bored to the fuel reducing specification.

The computer is always adjusting the fuel flow of the vehicle to get the 14.7 : 1 air fuel mixture but the computer can’t adjust the fuel flow any differently after a FuelReducer is installed because the FuelReducer is a mechanical device not an electronically controlled device. The computer cannot increase the fuel flow through the FuelReducer.

All engines require that the correct proportion of fuel be mixed with the incoming air for efficient operation. This proportion is in the range of 13 parts air to 1 part fuel for best power, 15 to 1 for best emissions and 17 to 1 for best economy. Most modern engines aim for a ratio of around 14.7 to 1 for the majority of cruising and medium power conditions. This is the chemically correct ratio which results in the lowest average emissions and reasonable power. After installing a FuelReducer the computer continues to make adjustments to meet the 14.7:1 ratio and since less fuel is introduced the computer makes adjustments to the air, not the fuel, to meet the computer’s pre-programmed ratio. You engine is still being feed the exact same ratio but with less fuel.

And to add to insult the filthy rich bankers are using the federal aid money they received to pay the lawyers to keep you and I from knowing the truth - that they all committed fraud by overstating their actual losses and understating their actual earnings.

How about the auto industry. You and I were ripped off there too. Obama allowed both Chrysler and GM to declare bankruptcy but not for the reason you would think. Obama stated that the auto industry wasn’t worth saving and refused to give either any more federal aid yet tuned around and used the US people’s money to take controlling interest in GM. If GM wasn’t worth saving why did Obama use $billions of US tax dollars to buy GM? The answer is obvious. Obama orchestrated the collapse of both GM and Chrysler. His terms for federal aid were set too high on purpose so that his government could take over GM in what the business sector calls a hostile takeover. The takeover of GM by the Obama government screams conflict of interest. It screams of insider trading. It screams securities fraud. It screams money laundering. It screams grand theft auto as that is exactly what Obama did, he stole one of the biggest auto manufacturer in the US. Obama had the CEO of a private corporation fired because the CEO of GM was looking out for the interests of GM’s shareholders. Obama, from day 1, dictated how the auto industry was going to be run. He dictated the terms and conditions for federal aid. He strong armed the shareholders of GM in order to take GM from them. And today, after stating that GM wasn’t worth saving he is spending $billions of tax payers’ money on advertising to get people to buy his cars and trucks - he is fencing stolen GM cars and trucks. Now that he owns GM, GM is now a viable company with a strong future. Even though Obama made himself the owner of GM the same business practices that got GM in trouble in the first place are still a very big part of GM. Gas guzzling vehicles are still rolling off the assembly line. Over priced vehicles are still being parked on dealership lots. These two issues alone got the original owners and shareholders of GM into trouble and Obama is continuing the same “you’ll buy what we build” attitude. Well, Mr Obama just because you took over GM by illegal means doesn’t mean the majority of Americans have more money to buy your gas guzzling and over priced vehicles. Thanks to you food is more expensive. Health care is more expensive. Our utilities bills are more expensive. Our tax bills are higher. And good paying jobs are gone so how in the hell can anyone afford to buy your shiny new cars and trucks? The answer is the same as a year ago - we, the majority, still can’t even afford to even buy the bare necessities.

It is cheaper for us to keep our clunkers than to buy a vehicle we already bought and paid for with the money you took to buy controlling interest of GM. Its cheaper to hold onto our vehicles that are already paid for in full than to be burdened with an added car loan. On average it will cost anyone looking to buy a new vehicle an extra $300 a month and that doesn’t include fuel costs, warranty required servicing of the vehicle and the added insurance cost for full coverage of your new vehicle. With all newer vehicles parts and labor are much higher than a older vehicle. With an older vehicle, one that we already own, we can actually lower our insurance costs and our repair bill and we will always have $300 a month in our pockets. With older vehicles we don’t have to take it to an expensive dealership for repairs. We don’t have to pay $100 / hour labor costs. We can take it to any number of family owned garages were the labor costs are affordable. We don’t have to pay extra for auto insurance. Home Heating Tip #1

Despite what is being claimed, the ordinary incandescent light bulb is a very efficient source of energy. For those of us in the northern climates it can actually reduce our home heating bill. Compared to a baseboard heater that consumes anywhere from 750 to 2200 watts of electricity (not very energy efficient) the light bulb only consumes 40 to 100 watts (very efficient). Try this out for a few weeks. In the room(s) that has a chill in it and where you are always turning up the baseboard heater thermostat, leave a light on - one with a 100-watt incandescent light bulb. If there is a draft from one of the windows place a lamp on a stand in front of the window - instead of turning the heat up. The draft will distribute the energy efficient hot heat (will burn your hand if you try to touch a light bulb on) from the light bulb. You won’t have to set the thermostat so high any longer if you leave the light on - incandescent only.

Home Heating Tip #2

Sunny day heating. In the winter months use natural sunlight to help reduce your home heating costs. The Sun always rises in the east and sets in the west. The days are shorter but just a few hours of sunlight can lower your home heating costs. In your home, the windows facing south should not be shaded or curtained during the daytime hours. Let the sunlight in on sunny days. Keeps blinds closed on the other sides especially on the north side of the house. Glass is used in green houses to raise the temperature.

In the summer months we are told to pull down the shade to keep out the summer heat (sun heat actually) so in the winter it would be wise to do just the opposite - open the shades and let the sun’s heat in. You will notice a difference. As soon as the sun goes down close the shades, blinds or curtains again to keep the heat in.

Trees are vital to a healthy planet. It is a natural filter of the harmful carbon monoxide that spew from out of vehicles exhaust pipes and keeps the Earth cool. A shade not only provides refuge from the hot summer days but breezes are formed as a direct result of cool shades. Soil erosion and mud slides can be prevented just by planting trees. Some trees even provide food for us and the wildlife. Trees are homes for the majority of animals on this planet. Trees give off oxygen.

To save our planet we need to plant trees, in every available space that is not used for farming. We must plant trees on our front lawns and in our back yards. We must plant trees inside our cities - on every available lot. If trees and plants adorn our lawn we don’t have to mow so much grass and which means we don’t have to use as much gas. Want proof that trees will cool the planet. The next time you are outside in the sweltering heat look for a tree or trees and sit under them. You can feel the difference just with the shade provided by a tree.

There is a big difference, in that “Cold Fusion” is very controversial and has already been labeled an impossibility by the scientific community - or at least that is what they want us to believe and have gone to great lengths to discredit everyone who has come out and reported having found the secrets of Cold Fusion. My report is about “fission” not “fusion. ” The anomaly of “cold fusion” experiments — high energy yields with few neutrons or tritium nuclei — has resulted from a simple case of mistaken identity? There are a number of nuclear fission reactions that produce neither neutrons nor tritium, yet yield large quantities of energy.” Scientists have mistakenly reported on the process used to gain large amounts of energy in their experiments. A communication error has resulted in the World being denied access to a free energy source from the most abundant and cleanest fuel source on Earth - Water.

To understand the errors that caused the unnecessary wars to control the oil supply of the World we have to start with understanding the most important and basic fact - that water sustains all life on Earth. Water contains the oxygen we need to breath and the fuel (hydrogen) to create motion (life). No one on Earth can survive very long without water (H2O). We can’t survive and function without water. Our food can’t survive and grow without water either. About 1,460 teratonnes (Tt) of water covers 71% of the Earth’s surface, mostly in oceans and other large water bodies, with 1.6% of water below ground in aquifers and 0.001% in the air as vapor, clouds (formed of solid and liquid water particles suspended in air), and precipitation. Saltwater oceans hold 97% of surface water. This fact alone states that 97% of the Earth’s water is readily available to mankind - not for human consumption (because humans require fresh water), but as the most abundant source of energy. How do we get that energy? By applying Cold Fission to saltwater which will provide both the energy we need to fuel our cars and homes as well as adds more oxygen to Earth’s atmosphere. Let me explain it all by starting with the very basics. First off what is Fission? Fission is defined as

1: a splitting or breaking up into parts
2: reproduction by spontaneous division of the body into two or more parts each of which grows into a complete organism
3: the splitting of an atomic nucleus resulting in the release of large amounts of energy

You already know that water’s chemical description is H2O - that is one atom of oxygen bound to two atoms of hydrogen. The hydrogen atoms are “attached” to one side of the oxygen atom, resulting in a water molecule having a positive charge on the side where the hydrogen atoms are and a negative charge on the other side, where the oxygen atom is. Since opposite electrical charges attract, water molecules tend to attract each other, making water kind of “sticky.” The side with the hydrogen atoms (positive charge) attracts the oxygen side (negative charge) of a different water molecule. All these water molecules attracting each other mean they tend to clump together forming water drops. As more water drops are formed they stick to each other to form a liquid state of water. Cold Fission is used to reverse the process - return water or split the liquid state of water back to its three atoms; an oxygen atom and two hydrogen atoms. The bond between the oxygen and hydrogen atoms are very strong. The bond needs to be broken and Cold Fission does this. Most scientists would declare that it takes a lot of energy to break the bond between the oxygen and hydrogen that makes up water. That is why they continue to discredit all claims of Cold Fusion. But Cold Fission doesn’t require a lot of energy to split Water. In fact very little energy is required in Cold Fission to begin splitting the bond between the oxygen and hydrogen atoms of water. The very definition of fission is splitting or breaking up into “parts” and nowhere does it hint or suggest that energy, or a lot of energy is required to do it. Scientists have known for decades what it takes to break the bond that makes water. The secret they have been keeping from us is that water can easily be broken up into its oxygen and hydrogen parts by applying a resonant frequency (radio wave). You already know that crystal radios were the only appliances on Earth that worked perfectly without using any energy supply. What you failed to see and understand is that they worked “without using any energy supply”. The crystal radio receiver (also known as a crystal set) is a very simple kind of radio receiver. It needs no battery or power source except the power received from radio waves by a long outdoor wire antenna. To listen to a specific broadcast we must tune in to the frequency being transmitted. Cold Fission uses low energy radio waves tuned to a specific frequency to split water into its oxygen and hydrogen parts. The key to building a successful Cold Fission reactor is to find the resonant frequency of the bond that sticks the oxygen and hydrogen atoms together. That frequency has already be discovered. Using the known frequency that breaks the bond that holds water together in a liquid state in a Cold Fission reactor produces free energy. There are many means of collecting free water to use for both drinking and as fuel. If you live near the ocean water is yours for the taking. If you live in the country and you have well water you have your water for drinking, cooking, cleaning and fuel for your farm equipment and vehicles. If you live in the city where you pay for water you can still collect water for use as fuel for free simply by collecting rain water in a large plastic garbage bin placed in your own private backyard and balcony.

The Ferrari Enzo includes a new ram-air intake system, high-flow air filters, FXX style headers, high-flowing cats, a new exhaust system with remote-controlled butterfly valves to adjust sound levels on the fly, and a modified ECU that helps power levels reach 700 hp and 527 lb.-ft. of torque

One of the keys to get more power out of your car is getting air into and out of the engine in the most efficient manner. You will want the maximum amount of air coming into the engine, because the more air in the combustion chambers mixed with the correct amount of fuel will result in the maximum power being developed. In the same fashion once the combustion has taken place you want the maximum amount of residual air/fuel gases out of the combustion chambers so that new air/fuel can come in.

So what can slow down the flow of air in and out of your engine? A variety of different designs and components go into a stock car that was not created with maximum power in mind. Remember that the car manufacturer is making a variety of trade-offs when they design and build a car. On one hand they must keep their costs as low as possible, which means that the parts they install might not be the best brands or designs available. They also must appeal to a wide audience in order to sell the most cars. One way is to keep the car as quiet as possible. Unfortunately many of the things they do for keeping sound down also keep the engine power down.

On the intake side of the engine the following things can slow down the air flow and decrease potential power. Starting with the outside air is the air filter. Paper air filters can block out air flow along with the particles you don’t want in your engine. The next item is the throttle body. This device controls the amount of air being drawn in. If it is the wrong size or has restrictions, the air flow is slowed down. Following are the plenum, runners and intake port. Stock devices are usually not as smooth internally as possible and they can cause further restrictions. So on the intake side, have a very effective air filter, followed by the minimum restrictions in the path of the air flow into the cylinders will help maximize the power potential of your engine.

On the exit or exhaust side of the engine we find the exhaust headers, the catalytic converter, various pipes and mufflers and the exhaust tailpipe. The exhaust headers lead the exhaust gases out of the engine. If not designed correctly they can restrict the exhaust gas flow. This might leave some wasted gas in the engine cylinders at the time new fresh air/fuel is being brought in to the cylinders. There is only some much room, and any space taken by exhaust gas that remains means less incoming air and fuel, and hence less power. Because of environmental laws there is not much you can do with the catalytic converter, just kind of accept what you have. However, you can get mufflers and pipes that minimize the exhaust gas restrictions and increase the power of your stock engine.

Each one of the devices mentioned above can be replaced with more efficient products, and in many cases stock parts can be reworked to improve efficiencies and raise potential horsepower.

A bonnet or hood scoop provides the engine with cool air

A bonnet or hood scoop is an air vent on the bonnet of an automobile that either allows a flow of air to directly enter the engine compartment, or appears to do so. It may be closed, and thus purely decorative, or serve to enhance performance in several possible ways.

The main purpose of a bonnet or hood scoop is to admit outside air into the engine’s intake ahead of the air cleaner and carburetor or fuel injection manifold. In most modern automobiles, internal combustion engines “breathe” under-bonnet or hood air or air ducted from under the front bumper through plastic and rubber tubing. The high operating temperatures in the engine compartment result in intake air that is 28°C (50°F) or more warmer than the ambient temperature, and consequently less dense. A bonnet scoop or hood scoop provides the engine with cooler, denser outside air, increasing power.

Ram air

At higher highway road speeds, a properly designed bonnet or hood scoop can increase the speed and pressure with which air enters the engine’s intake, creating a resonance supercharging effect.

A functional scoop presents several possible problems in addition to its benefits:

* The scoop opening increases audible engine noise. This is of concern in areas where local law regulates the maximum permissible noise levels of vehicles.

* An open scoop may admit debris or water directly into the engine, which is a hazard. If the air cleaner element is in place, it will generally prevent debris from entering the engine, although such detritus can quickly clog the air filter. Many scoops for vehicles intended for street use have drainage channels to prevent water from entering the engine, although the channels may be overwhelmed in heavy rain.

* The cooling effect of the scoop’s intake air may complicate engine warm-up and pollution control. During the early days of automotive emissions controls, it was customary for stock air-intake systems to have flaps that would only allow the engine to breathe cool, outside air at or near full throttle.

Because of these limitations, some scoops are designed so that they can be closed by the driver (using a cabin-mounted lever) or so that they remain shut until opened by engine vacuum.

Is cold air intake better than regular air intake?

If you are looking for max horsepower the answer is yes. Cold air is denser and containes more oxygen which means a better combustion resulting in more power. A cold air intake system streams cool, more dense air into the engine, increasing the performance of your vehicle. Auto manufacturers design most vehicle engines to be as quiet as possible. They produce an air box and intake tube with several curves that drop the density of air that advances into the internal combustion chamber. Manufactured air boxes are installed next to the engine bay, confining the air and making it hot when sucked into the box. The result is a mixture of fuel and hot air combustion that restricts the efficiency of your engine.

Throttle body spacer

A throttle body spacer is a small ring that fits between the intake tube and the throttle body. The purpose is to mix the air better with the fuel, creating better mileage and better performance. The throttle body spacer causes the incoming air charge to tumble for better atomization of the mixture downstream in the combustion chamber. A throttle body spacer will yield a much greater fuel burn efficiency, which in turn will improve performance and improve fuel economy!
